I watched Ericka Kirk last night on Newsmax. She is obviously still in the throes of incredible grief. She seemed defiant and resolved in her brokenness. If was hard to watch but beautiful, simultaneously horrible and lovely.
I have split and stacked a lot of firewood since yesterday morning. Listened to old messages from RC Sproul and prayed mostly. The thoughts of the children attempting to make sense of why daddy isn’t home…boy that is profound.
I thought a lot about how Tyler’s father must feel. I don’t like those thoughts but I open to them to put some/any humanity back on that side of the tragedy. The boy seems to have come from a normal home. His dad especially must be now pouring over every moment of the way he reared his son looking for some reason. I know this because I too am a dad and I too had a time where I wanted a reason for my kids rebellion.
Colleges are an indoctrination camp. Infiltrated by a relentless long game of ideological collectivists and then like cancer moving into healthy tissue. As a society we need to reevaluate what we tolerate. I am not sure how to do this but allowing cancer to plan and scheme under the guise of education of the most moldable of us seems ridiculous.
