I bought the Lyman GEN 5 Digital Powder System and have no regrets at all. haven't had any problems since day 1 and it weighs loads just as quick and precise as the RCBS CM. the only problem I have is I can't hear the beeper but that would be true for all models of electronic powder dispensing...
not really, moved them all around on different guns until I decided I had them mounted where I like them. the lrs is on my 6.5creedmoor which I shoot out to about 550-600yds and the ss16x is on my 243ackley improved. what ever gun I want to shoot at the time is my favorite scope! the clarity on...
I have the ss 16x scope, 2 millett trs-1's and 1millett lrs, the mil setting for my lrs is 12.5x. I believe them all to be very good quality scopes for the money and haven't had any problems with any of them. the millett lrs power ring took some use before it started to loosen up, brand new it...
I had been trying imr 4895 and it seems to be a good match for the 68grn hornady match. this was shot at 100 yds from my Savage varmint contour barrel (9 twist). since then I found some more varget and went back to it.
myself, I would go with this 42.9 load and play with the length, maybe start moving it out in increments of .010 and see if it doen't pull together. just mho.
it's not a stock you would want to carry in the field but for target and p-dogs it's great! it is heavy and wide but will accommodate a varmint or even a bull barrel with no problem. I like mine and am thinking of replacing one of my B&C duramax with another choate.
I follow Dan Newberry's rules to the T. what I can see you have got it right. usually takes 24-30rnds or so. I like to load extra siters so I have some foulers, I clean my barrel after each set.
that's one powder I can find at my lgs that I can use. he doesn't have much of a selection right now but does have plenty of H414. I guess most people don't think about it for one reason or another. it works for me!
