Don't buy the new style. I had same breakage, not weldable. Tried new style, put back in box, found old style on EBay.

Try this: Cut two pieces 1/2" long, split one lengthwise, slide the uncut one inside the other and install both inside the feed tube. Worked several years for me.

+1 on the Peltor 6S. You can pop the individual ears off the frame, and turn them over so that the thinner area is on the bottom. That gives you more stock clearance for rifle shooting.

I have the same scope, and my understanding is the infinity mark is just a starting point. You start there and turn the turret back until you get an image that is in focus, and then adjust for parallax if needed.
