Re: Which Savage for long range shooting? I'd go with the model 10fcp McMillan. You don't have to worry about replacing the stock. Stock alone is $500 or more. All you have to do is add pillars and bed it. I did that myself and it shoots submoa. I couldn't be happier with mine.
Re: Federal versus Winchester Brass in .308win I used to reload federal and Winchester 308 brass. I had mixed results with both. I now run Lapua brass and have been much happier. Primer pockets remain tight and no need to trim after 5 firings. I use a healthy charge of varget under a 175...

Re: Vortex Viper HS 5-15x44 Mil-Dot No issues with specks on the glass. Took it out to the range for the first time yesterday. Glass is good. Clarity is better than the 4-16x50 PST IMO. Good buy.
Re: AI stock or McMillan A4 stock If your gonna spend that kind of coin, I'd get behind each one to see what you like. Many people I know have fitting issue with AICS and often use Tall rings so line of sight is correct. I haven't heard anything bad about the A4. I chose it over the AICS.
Re: DBM systems pros and cons Had a Wyatts and it ran good. 5 round mags ran smooth. No fitting issues on my HS precision stock. 10 round mags ridiculously long. Got in the way shooting prone. Had HS precision mag system as well. I prefer it over the Wyatt. Drops right in HS stock...

Re: What powder for Hornady 75 gr BTHP? I have a Predator Pursuit upper and it shoots really tight with 23.0gr Accurate 2230C, Hornady 75 hpbt, and Win Brass. Running across my Chrono around 2800fps with no signs of pressure. SD is really low as powder is very fine and meters extremely well.

Re: Stock pack for an A2? I use the blackhawk a2 cheekpad and works great. Height is adjustable as well as provides plenty of clearance for the charging handle. http://www.blackhawk.com/product/AR15-Cheek-Pad,1507,1406.htm
Re: Results with Hornady 75gr I reload my RRA Predator Pursuit (1:8 tw 20") with 75gr HPBT at mag length. Shoots just under 1 MOA consistantly for me out to 500 yards.
Re: Leupold Knob Swap Call Leupold. Their custom shop can do the M1 conversion for you for just under $200 shipped. I don't think they can convert to M3. I called a while ago on converting M1 to M3 and was told no.
Re: need glass: leupold mk 4 6.5-20 mil/mil or ss 5-20 I had both order the Scopes mentioned. I sold the swfa and kept the mark 4 m5. Both have their merits, but the swfa had a less forgiving eyebox and I couldn't get over the hashmarks not lining up. Other than that, they are both...
Re: Leupy Mark 4 6,5-20x50 ER M5 w/ TMR reticle..... I am happy with mine. I like the features, reticle, quality of the scope. I haven't had a chance to take advantage of FFP but it's nice to know that it is there. I got a great deal on a new one on ebay, but I verified the serial# with...
Re: Field Test: Weaver 3-15 vs. Vortex PST 4-16 & 6-24 I took my Vortex PST FFP 4-16x50 out to a 1k yard match today. I do have to say I am happier with the glass now. I had no problem seeing all of the spotters out to 1k. While the glass is not quite up to par with my other scopes. It is...
Re: Field Test: Weaver 3-15 vs. Vortex PST 4-16 & 6-24 I also just recently got the Viper PST 4-16x50 FFP as well. I too am finding that the glass is a little disappointing. The other scopes I compared it with is a IOR 3-18x42, Mark 4 6.5-20x50, and Super Sniper 10x42HD. When I first...
