If it was listed as Palma 155gr on the midway site, I would bet it is the Sierra 2156 bullet. I bought some a few months ago and measured the OAL, and per the techs at Sierra they were within spec of the 2156 Palma bullet, and way too long to be the 2155 bullet.

Thx for reply, I have used 4064 with 87/95gr bullets out of my 26” barrel, and while it gave good groups with low SD’s, it was rather slow. I just didn’t know with a 4” shorter barrel, if a faster burning powder than 4451 would be better.

I have the Walmart exclusive Pit Boss and am really happy with it. I don’t get the really crusty bark on my briskets that a stick burner gets, but that would be my only complaint. Very happy otherwise.

With WIN brass and primers here is what works for me out of my Savage 12: 70gr Nosler BT with 39.5gr of IMR 4895 87gr V Max with 35.2gr of IMR 4064 Both loaded to OAL of 2.650"-2.655". These two loads are the most accurate loads I have shot out of this rifle.

With 87gr V Max and 95gr SMK I have had good luck with both 4064 and 4320. With 70-75 bullets I like 4895.
