Hey all,

Last year my crappy Tasco scope on my 17HMR took a shit, so I replaced it with a 3-9 Nikon Prostaff which I'm very impressed with.

However, 9x just wasn't enough magnification for getting off those longer shots when the little bastards are only partially exposed.

So, I was thinking about replacing the 3-9x40 Prostaff with a 4.5-14 Buckmaster, which I think has better light transmission anyway.

Does anyone have a through the scope view of a 4.5-14 Buckmaster Mildot? I prefer the Nikoplex but a seller may have a mildot which may be cool for ranging those little grey monsters.

i had one on my .308 and .223 AR15. Took both out to 600+ without a problem.

Glass was clear but the 40mm obj and the 1" tube made you feel like you where looking through a paper towel tube.
