I bought a Dead Air Mask last year. 6 months later I bought a TBAC Ultra 9. I'm hooked and I want to suppress everything. What platform should I consider for shooting suppressed 9mm? I'm leaning towards a PCC. No SBRs. It will mostly be used as a range toy, but don't take that to mean I'm indifferent towards reliability. I would like to keep it under $2,000 not including optics. LRBHO is ideal.

Do you reload? What ammo will you shoot? Not all Factory 147gr will stay subsonic from a 16" barrel.

If no SBR l, what about pistol brace? Keeping the barrel short makes for a much better balance and feel.

I'd go with this:
It is radial delayed blowback, so quieter and safer than the simple blowbacks. Glock mags and they offer buffer weights to tune performance.

Pick a barrel length based on how much handguard you want to hold and mount stuff on.
3-lug muzzle and dot sight gets it done.

If going CMMG make sure it is the new fixed ejector version. The AR style spring ejector bolt has proven to be unreliable after 300-500 rds. Have one myself and can confirm it is a dud. Switched over to the PSA AR-V pistol with a Maxim Roller Delayed Buffer system. It uses 35 rd Scorpion style mags and they can be had pretty cheap through Magpul, PSA and used CZ. The only down side to the delayed buffer is the initial charging effort. About 30 lbs of force is needed to cycle the buffer. I use an over sized charging handle and it is not bad. Much smoother shooting than straight blowback actions. Mine is an 8" pistol with YHM R9 suppressor.

I'm running the CMMG DISSENT 9mm 10.5" and I honestly couldn't be happier.

Excellent accuracy and my PWS BDE Ti 45 works excellent.

The only downside I have now is because it doesn't utilizes a full length carrier my FRT-15L3 triggers are non compatible.

Everything I've ran through it has been 100% reliable. With the Winchester 147 Super Suppressed ammo I'm getting 2" groups at 50 yard with a Holosun Greed Dot.

My Scorpion Evo has been 100% reliable, but admittedly it’s a plastic toy with a heavy bolt.

Pew Pew is all it ever says….except for the tinkle of brass raining from the ejection port.
