Probably most of that gets settled out of court by just going up and paying the fine. There's a lot of sheep out there.. I bet if you mailed letters informing the recipient that he/she was guilty of some bullshit violation to everyone in a city, you'd get a percentage of those folks trying to pay the shit.

I've gotten a ticket for FTC, had it been issued closer to home i would have fought it. Ive found fighting tickets usually result in dismissal. But in this case travel and loss wages would have cost twice as much as just paying the fine.
I wish more officers would ticket that asshat driving slow in the fast lane on busy major freeways causing everyone to swerve around them. That poses more of a hazard than a few mph over the speed limit.

I love it when they say " It is for your safety". The last one that told me that I explained that I have driven since 1975 with no accidents so please don't be concerned about my safety on the open road. He wrote the ticket anyway.

I will say this, 1/3 of the troopers that are pulled over with a car are changing tires or helping change tires if individual is a young male... the local donut vacuums never help a citizen, they are typically morbidly obese and would probably have a heart attack.
Rather than folliwing to close, look at another example of an unenforceable law in Indiana; texting while driving. Texting while driving is illegal. So, if I write someone a ticket for that I have to explain how I know they were texting and not looking at a map app for example.
The way the actual law is written, its only illegal to text. The only way I'd know to prove this would be to subpoena phone records and prove texts were sent atbthe time of the ticket.

The reason we have all these safety nets is because we are attempting to forego Darwinism. Example: If someone thinks its okay to consume an entire tube of toothpaste and dies. Well im pretty sure we dont want his genes to remain in the gene pool. Take the warning labels off and safety nets and let it all sort its self out.

I see at least two per week changing tires.
We got pulled over about 60 miles north of Tampa a couple of years ago.
The contents of the hitch rack were blocking the plate.
He said he wouldn't ticket for it but the troopers about 50 miles north would do it without question.
He also said that the GA hwy patrol would also ticket us.
He let us know where the nearest place to get zip ties was and sent us on our way.

Take red light cameras and radar cameras used in the mail-a-ticket schemes as an example. If enforcement was really about safety, there would be a patrolman on site correcting bad driving behaviors as soon as they occur. A lot of mail-a-ticket citations take a week or two to get to the accused. How is that correcting bad driving behavior? The accused would hardly have any recollection of when and where they were accused of said infraction. Citation by mail is nothing but a state sponsored coffer stuffer program.

I also know that we can't accurately label an entire group of people as bad (or good) based on just their occupation, skin color, nationality, etc.
I treat people equal until they prove otherwise, as skin color means nothing to me. That said, I've seen good in most everyone at some point, once you peel away the environment they grew up in or are living in, based on many things.
Or 17 and in uniform. Or if they live/work on a farm. Or if they're integral to the family's survival (usually farm related). They relax driver licenses to 14 for the same situations. Or did. It's just a shitstorm after shitstorm of new laws they expect me to remember and follow diligently and I just can't care anymore.
