I think the 6mmCM is a slightly improved .243Win. Essentially a .243Win with a ~30 degree shoulder and standard neck, so a slight increase in capacity. The 6mm SuperLR has the neck/shoulder junction pushed back forming a 30degree shoulder for a longer neck and slightly less capacity than the standard .243Win. Essentially a "6XC" neck/shoulder on a .243Win body.

If anyone has one, please chime in.

The Way I See It:
A 6.5mmSuper LR would have all the benefits of a .260Rem with better case design.

I read Hornady is sniffing around this hope they dont take a good idea n screw it on pricing

for me it works better as a 6mm

Barrel and reamer are on the way. I will hopefully have a report in about 6 weeks, we have already made some brass using a 6xc die. It looks to be simple and accurate.

I've been eyeballing his 6mmAR for a while, which I find interesting since it fits an AR15 setup, require no FF of cases, and shoot 6mm spears pretty fast and without playing dangerous games with pressure. Likely my next AR.
The LR is somewhat less interesting IMHO, since once you leave the AR15 frame constraints, you find a whole set of cartridges which are able to compete with it.

I've got one (6mmSuperLR) coming, too.

I'm building a DPMS LR.

Got the dies, and the Krieger bbl has been ordered for about 2.5 months, hope it is here pretty soon.

I agree on the big AR's, I hate the recoil impulse compared to a standard AR, the big, heavy BCG really slams things around. I'm gonna be trying some things on my DPMS LR to make it more like my 243WSSM on a standard AR frame, which recoils like a .22, it's unreal. I'll post what I'm doing over in the new AR forum.
