Ultimatum Deuce 22LR

I have seen one with 1:12 twist on the recent IPRF Worlds , but its kinda lost among the Voodoo ,RimX etc that are taking all the limelight, so was kinda wondering what gives as its not being pushed a lot .

There are different ones using the barrels different actions with good results , usually , but I would like to here what people think about the actions

Anyone using these actions?
IBI rimfire barrels are they any good?
I’ve been running an ultimatum deuce, 22” 1:12 twist 1.063” straight for a while now. I also have a deadline Ibi that’s a hammer.

Care to expand? What's the hotness of the Deuce over the other two in your eyes?

I prefer in order the deuce, vudoo then rimx but that’s just personally. The deuce and the vudoo are so close but I just slightly prefer the deuce. It’s hard to explain but While running slow the deuce probably has the worst feel (heaviest bolt close) but running fast it just feels the smoothest and fastest of the 3. It’s completely a feel thing. I also like the look of it the best but that is a personally preference. I would say it is the most finicky due to mags. The rimx mags are amazing and are the most forgiving.

I felt like the Deuce could only be run fast. When running it slow, it feels heavy and clunky, but is super smooth when you run it fast.

Yah it’s tough to explain to someone who hasn’t felt it. And the first time you run one (if on a bench) your kind of disappointed, then in a match setting it’s just so fast and smooth

Can't remember if it was discussed before. In case it wasn't, take note...

The two little suckers shown in pic 1 could interfere with your chassis (pic 2).

Some filing to do this morning.

I have one of the originals. I kept the Deuce in prefrence to the RimX with I sold. Ultimatum/IBI has designed the new 2.0 so that the revised bolt will be a compatible retro fit to the old action. I am ordering a new bolt and will make a post once I have had opportunity to shoot it. The new extractors should provide more positive ejection of fired cases and more reliable extraction of loaded rounds.

I am surprised at your comment "as usual no response to emails". Surprised only because my experience it has been just the opposite. Although I have only purchased from IBI/Ultimatum 3 or 4 times, I have written at least twice that many emails and have had them responded to promptly each time. The phone call I made yesterday afternoon to actually order the bolt was answered on the first ring . I received email confirmation of the order immediately via email.

IBI/Ultimatum is a relatively small company. They have enjoyed a tremendous growth over the last couple of years both here in Canada and Internationally. They have made significant improvements to production and efficientcies to accommodate the increased volume. I can imagine the difficulties in acquiring additional staffing with the necessary skills to increase production without sacrificing quality. It is also my understanding that there are TWO people who look after all of the marketing, advertising and sales.

I cannot suggest why your apparent multiple emails have gone unanswered but I can say that as far as barrels are concerned IBI is delivering most barrels in several weeks as opposed to the several months of many of the other manufacturers. I can also say with confidence that the two IBI barrels that I do own I am very please with and I am contemplating trying one of their 14 twist rimfire offerings.

Having only ordered my bolt yesteday, I expect it will be a couple of weeks for it to arrive ( may be delayed by a pending mail strike ). On it's arrival I will be sure to respond to this thread with my comments and findings. I wish you the best of luck with your inquiries.
Regards,
Dan
