We will be able to have 54 shooter slots now. I have 50 slots filled. I will fill the last slots as I open the envelopes with the money in them. Any others will go on a stand by list.

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

The first 20 shooters to pay or commit to SO will get free Utah Shootouts hat with embroidered eagle on it. (how exciting is that)

I will be putting checks into an account soon after I get them. Had some problem last year by holding them too long.

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

Bumped this up so I can find it easier.

Anyone I emailed back and said was on the list, I put on the list. This is the confirmed list, your spot is safe till July 1. If not paid by then you will get bumped to the bottom of the list. If there is a standby list, it's the bottom of that list.

If there are any mistakes please let me know.

You are #26 on the shooter list John.

Christian, is that an offer to help? You are not on the shooter list, should you be?

Rocca, I'll put you on the shooter list. If you can't shoot let me know.

Utah Shootouts Notice

North Springs Shooting Range, Price, Utah

July 14, 2012 Practical Precision up to 1000 yards. 9:00 am. 60 rounds.
Carbine 1:00 pm. 60 rounds
Pistol 3:00 pm. 60 rounds
$20 for the day.

No match in August.

September 8 & 9, 2012 Utah State Sniper Shoot. See details at www.utahshootouts.com click on USSS.

As July 1 deadline approaches. We have just under 40 shooters. SO's enough for 50 shooters. We have worked out a plan for the Course of Fire that will only allow 60 shooters maximum. Unless I get a lot of money in the next week and a half, this will go into effect July 1.

So get your registration and money in as soon as possible. I will order a few extra shirts but that's all. Food is bought the week before. No discount for <span style="font-weight: bold">paying late</span>, you will have better luck getting a lunch included than a shirt.

Thanks,
Clint

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

Steve W has spent months contacting hundreds of business owners. As you can see at the top of this thread it's paying off. I just doubled the list.

He's getting a garage full of merchandise including a 16 rifle safe, plus thousands of dollars in gift certificates from some very reputable companies. There should be several things for each shooter to take home.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: sobrbiker883</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Are the locals going to be free to use the range during the match again? </div></div>

This can be a big problem, as I have known for years.

The locals at our usually happy with a free day pass and asked to come back another day. (and I end up paying for them when we are using a biggest part of the range)

It's the out of town shooters that can be a problem. If you get to the range from 100 or 500 miles away to shoot the 1000 yard range, Scott the range master, doesn't want to tell them they can't shoot.

So it's not like we can rent the whole range and shut it down. Scott usually directs them to some area we are not using at the time.

As stated in the Official Proclamation, we will have to stick to a strict time schedule, since we will be rotating squads through out the range anyway. That will give the few shooters that might show up an opportunity to shoot. There will always be some area in between our squads to shoot while the range is hot.

So they won't be free to use the range, but they can use it.

The biggest problems have happened because of misunderstanding between Scott's help and my help who have not understood how this can work.

I'm still working on that. Thanks for understanding.

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

The list that was here I deleted. I'll have the new shooter list up soon.

There are a few that made arrangements to pay in the near future. Their spots are safe. I will put their names on when I get the money.

There were some great people that offered to help SO - ASO. All will be shooting the match. After filling requests, this is how it worked out. ASO's that haven't paid owe $50.

I'm going to limit squads to 9 shooters instead of 10, for more than one reason. We have 5 squads now,so if we get more than 45 shooters we will need another SO and asst. before I take any more shooters. Any offers? That means there will be 54 shooter maximum for this match.

I won't be ordering shirts for at least a couple weeks. So if you get your money in before shirts are ordered, you will still get one.

For those that have not paid, I will fill requests for shooting next to your buddy as best as I can but there are no promises from here on out.

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

We will definitely have 6 squads now. Got a SO team for it.

Had another SO that had to drop out though and waiting for checks that are in the mail from those I have told in the last few days they would be shooting.

Anyone else can contact me to be put on the standby list.

I'll update the shooter and SO list as soon as I can.

Thanks,
Clint

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

On July 16 there will be NO reserved slots anymore or standby list. Since there have been so many that have not paid. It will come down to when I open an envelope with a check, I will add them to the paid list. That will be the only list that matters.

We can take up to 54 shooters. We are at about 40.

The shooter and SO lists above are way outdated. It has been changing just about hourly.

If I get more than 54 paid (including free SO's) then I'll start a stand by list.

Thanks, Clint

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

This is the notice I just sent out to all unpaid shooters.

If you know of anyone that was planning on shooting, please inform them of this message. There were a few that I didn't have email addresses for.

This is to give notice that your name was on the shooter list for the Utah State Sniper Shoot for Sept. 8-9, 2012, and that I have not received payment yet.

I cannot hold your place after July 15, 2012. I then will open up registration to anyone. I will add shooters to the paid list as I receive payment. I hope to hear from you in the next few days.

There are a few shooters that I had on the list that I didn't have email addresses for. If you know any of these please forward this message to them.

The old confirmed shooter list is still on Snipers Hide and also my website www.utahshootouts.com click on USSS 2012 if you want to see it. It's out dated because it changes almost hourly and I'm still waiting for checks that are "in the mail".

If you already paid or are not going to attend, please disregard this message.

Thanks so much,
Clint

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

Update July 14

We have 50 paid shooters (including SO's). That leaves 4 slots to fill. I will fill them as I open envelopes with the money in them. Any more that come in will go on a stand by list.

I will update the SO list and Shooter list in next few days. Working out a couple details with SO's, ASO's.

Steve just explained to me it will fill his pick up truck to get all the prizes to the range. If you know you will pick the 16 gun safe off the prize table (from Stack-On) make sure you bring a truck to haul it home.

Clint

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

Update July 24

We've had another SO team offer to help. That could put less shooters per squad and or add more shooters.

I rearranged the CoF a while back to only allow 6 squads. It could be changed to 7 with out too much problem.

If you would still like to shoot, let me know now. I will then need payment to reserve your spot.

No more change of CoF, squads, number of shooters, etc. in about a week when I order T shirts.

Also there is one addition to the "Official Declaration" posted on the website. No armor piercing, tracer, steel core, etc. ammunition will be allowed.

Thanks,
Clint

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

Update Aug 6

We are FULL. All 54 paid (including SO's) slots are filled. If for any reason we can take any more shooters, I started a stand by list.

I will put up a updated shooter list here and on the website soon.

Thanks,
Clint

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

The new shooter list is toward the top of this thread. Safety Officers and Assistant Safety Officers are marked as such.

If you want your name on the stand by list please contact me. There might be a spot or two open up.

Clint

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

Clint, put me down on the alternate list, I dont expect to get in, and may not be available anyways, but if something opens up, I'd like to have the option

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

Clint might want to confirm this but I understand the round count to be 150 rounds for carbine in under one hour, 150 round for pistol under one hour and > 120 for precision rifle. Better get to reloading.

John

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept.8-9 FULL

I just want to say thanks again to every one that made this happen. I had a great time this weekend visiting with old friends, meeting new ones and putting faces to screen names. You guys have a beautiful facility to hold this match.

Im curious to see how close the scores turned out.

Thanks again.

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept.8-9 FULL

Outstanding Match - Although I did not shoot, I had the privilege and pleasure of being an RO/SO(Squad E). I witnessed Great Shooting, Safe Resposable Firearm Managment and Unmatched Comradery Between Old Friends and New. I big Shout out to Scott and Harold who manage and maintain the North Springs Shooting Range, thanks for the hospitality. Congratulations to Robert for a well deserved win. Robert is part of our Northern Utah PCPR group, setting the bar at it's highest level and one hell of a nice guy. Finally, many thanks to Clint, his family and the many suporting hands who put togather, pulled off and cleaned up after another outstanding Utah State Sniper Shoot. Best Wishes to all. Leo.

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept.8-9 FULL

Great Match I had a blast!!! A big Thanks to Clint and your great family for putting on the match again this year, and thanks to everyone in my squad (g) a great bunch of guys to shoot with...Thanks to Eric and Chris for helping out with running and spotting.
Big thanks to L.A.R. for the precision operator ops 4 ambi. side charge AR upper. and big thanks to Geissele for the trigger.

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

Thanks again to Clint, his family, volunteers, SO's and ASO's, sponsors.
It was a great shoot. There couldnt have been nicer guys to shoot with. It was a pleasure to shoot with my squad. NO drama, just friendly guys, who were anxious to help out with spotting, helping each other out with gear issues, and whatever else was needed. The venue has to be seen to be appreciated.
I cant believe how much work Clint has put into the monthly and annual matches , for last few years. It really has been a labor of love. The shooting scene in Utah and surrounding states has been much better for it.
Also, nice to see familiar faces from NV, COLO, ARIZ and elsewhere.

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

Heather should get some results up here tonight.

They let me stay here at the range even though they are closed. Things are pretty cleaned up, going threw a bunch of steel desiding what I should get out of here.

Looks like next year is starting to get planned already. Stay tuned.

Thanks for all the kind comments.
Clint

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept. 8-9

Clint, Thanks for a great match and a fun weekend. Robert congrats on the win! You make it look way to easy. Thanks to all RO's and Clints family for the the hard work.
Can not wait till next year.

If you come across a 2" impulse target and that 4" round I forgot to grab them. If not don't even worry about it.

Re: Utah State Sniper Shoot 2012, Sept.8-9 RESULTS

I've got some video's, they are coming in slow, I will put them up as I upload them.

This one is on the 1k range, you'll have to excuse my camerawork as my cameraman went on strike, so I had to do it myself. I moved the camera too far but if you look close you can still see all the juicy hits! You'll have to forgive my thinking out loud, but as you can see, I'd be lost without it.

as always, enjoy in 1080HD
