I had a chance to work with a USO SN-3 1.8-10X TPAL with a mil adjusted EREK knob and GAP Mil Reticle. Here is a video of the scope, tracking test I used.

    The specs on the scope:

    SN-3 TPAL
    Left side Parallax /Focus
    1.8-10X
    37mm Objective
    30mm main tube
    Lo Profile rapid focus
    1/10th Mil EREK
    1/10Th Mil M40 Type windage
    11 position illuminated reticle
    GAP Mil Reticle
2" Sunshade / ARD USO Flip up Caps

The scope was mounted in my Iron Ridge Arms lower with GA Precision upper which features a 20" Rock Creek barrel. The rifle is an Armalite model.

    Conclusions:

The scope performed very, very well on the AR10 type rifle. I thought it was the right size and configuration for this type of system. I used a set of Tally Tactical low rings to mount it and the 37mm objective cleared with no problem as well I still had 12+ mils of elevation adjustment with the scope.

The scope was surprisingly clear and bright for such a small objective. The GAP Mil reticle was a very good size to get solid center hits on the target. Accuracy of both the rifle and the scope were dead on using M118LR.

Highlight was the side focus, it was very sharp and small movements made a noticeable different for the better. The mil / mil adjustments of the scope were dead on, and with the sharp reticle it was easy to get a fine mil reading on target. Whether dialing or holding the scope worked perfectly.

John & Co did a great job on this scope, all around it was really nice.

Re: *Video Review* USO SN-3 TPAL 1.8-10X

It's not quite 18 mils, and being it was mounted on a flat base it was closer to 15 Mils total usable elevation. But it's right up to 18 as marked, I didn't get that much though. 9 Mils per turn.

Switch, you have to contact USO on pricing details as they didn't include the breakdown as configured.

Thanks for another great review. Can't wait for mine. Just not a big fan of the US Optics name on the side, IMO it detracts, not adds to the scope.

    Why?

Re: *Video Review* USO SN-3 TPAL 1.8-10X

The FOV is very good, the scope is much shorter than it looks with the Sunshade on it, so that opens up the FOV very nicely, and because the scope dials down to 1.8" it's in a good range for a wide FOV.

I don't have numbers, I didn't measure, but in the future I will.

Re: *Video Review* USO SN-3 TPAL 1.8-10X

The eye relief / sight picture was very good, as you can see in the video, I was able to shoot the mover and still spot my own impacts on target. It's not so critical that the recoil would move me out of position so that I lost sight picture. It had very little if any tunneling effect, a good edge to edge clarity that was more forgiving.

I mounted it with "low" rings and honestly could have even gone a touch higher because it almost went too low for me personally. I had to lower the PRS cheek piece all the way, and still I could have used a bit more height to be perfectly comfortable.

it had very good overall qualities and as I stated I thought USO did a nice job with it.

Just conservative, I guess. I'd feel the same way if MCM or AICS did it to a stock.

Gotcha, I thought you were saying USO sucks and don't want to advertise their name, which would've been a bit tactless in a review thread about them. All things equal I prefer not having anything written on anything, unless I'm being payed to do so.

Oh god no! Rereading my post, I can see how it came across that way, but that wasn't my intended meanding. I'm beyond satisfied the one I own. Its just a personal preference, thats all.

Re: *Video Review* USO SN-3 TPAL 1.8-10X

Is there a archive on the site of the LL's reviews? I can't find one. As well as they are done, it would be nice to have them all in one spot for reference.

Or I'll just keep bookmarking the individual threads.

Re: *Video Review* USO SN-3 TPAL 1.8-10X

Good review I've owned 3 USO's over the years top product. you can't go wrong in buying one of them. My fav is 1.8-10 bought in 2005 been on 3 rifles and over 14K rounds haven't broken it yet.

Re: *Video Review* USO SN-3 TPAL 1.8-10X

I'm considering one of these for a new rifle, a M1A. While I'd prefer a 3.2-17, the power and size of the 1.8-10 seems to be appropriate for the weapon. Am I off base?
