Well I came here to find out if there was a sunshade yet and question is already been asked... Hopefully ordering a scope in April.
This is possible ??Most likely going to send one of mine in for a reticle change as soon as they are available.
I don't know how much the cost is, but yes, it is an available option as far as I know. Give @CSTactical a call. I'm sure he can fill you in on the details. This is possible ??
Say one day I want to change a MPCT3 to a MPCT6 several years down the line.......ZCO does this ?
$500 for a reticle change ?.......Perhaps less for SH members ?
Man get your priorities straight...tell her daddy needs a new scope.@b2lee I have to wait because my youngest daughter is getting married in 2 weeks. Gotta see what the final total will be for that.
I do get to live vicariously through a friend this weekend shooting with his ZCO.
Thank you for confirming the option is available.I don't know how much the cost is, but yes, it is an available option as far as I know. Give @CSTactical a call. I'm sure he can fill you in on the details.
Agreed. I just got an MPCT2, and while it is a great reticle it’s nice to know that if some new greatness comes out a switch would be possibleThank you for confirming the option is available.
I dont have a ZCO scope yet but I'm saving for one and it makes my choice of ZCO an even better one since knowing I can change reticles later if I want to
I don't know if other scope companies offer this too but it's a very smart move on ZCO's part
Here’s the best pics I could get inside the building with it at 5x and 27x
Inside building, to my eyes, it’s usable at 5x if you absolutely needed to. With a dark background, illumination is always the answer as well.
Once I get one outside in the wild, will be able to give better idea and hopefully pics.

I’m in the market for a new scope and this makes it very hard not to purchase a ZC.
Bloody useless for us metric people...
Here in Europe we get target sizes in centimeters, so 1" = 2.54cm, fun to that math at a stage with unknown ranges, guess the distance is also numbered in 100's yard?. Then it gets even funnier, 1 yard = 0.914 meters....
Hope they release a MPCT3 for the rest of the world too...
Every event I have been on here in Europe is metric only, nobody uses yards. Probably because the metric system is the superior system of measurement, haha. But as far as I understood the rangefinder gives you the distance in meter to an IPSC target in inches. Or is it actually yards?
True that!Who cares? Either use a cheat card or change your calculator to yards for that target to get your dope. Whether is meters or yards. It doesn’t matter either way.
This ain’t rocket surgery.
The ranging funnel give distances in yards. As DThomas pointed out already, it's still fairly simple to adapt those to meters.Every event I have been on here in Europe is metric only, nobody uses yards. We change between meters and yards all the time over here. Also, do they make ipsc targets differently??
IPSC: 18” or 45cm
66% ipsc: 12” or 30cm
8” is 20cm
6” is 15cm
Reticle ranging is not a precise tool, so those numbers will get you well beyond an acceptable solution.
And if you’re in a match where you’ll be using the reticle a lot, or on a single stage, just set your calculator to “yards” for dope.
No one cares what the linear unit of measure is for distance. All that matters is your dope is dialed in for a target. I change from yards to meters all the time.
It’s only useless if you want it to be useless.
You shouldn’t be doing any math in the field or on the clock anyway. If you’re not using a cheat sheet next to your dope chart for ranging, you’re wrong and need to change your tactics.
This reticle works fine for CM targets. Just use the above values I listed. As long as you’re within a few CM, you’ll be close enough to make an impact as you’ll already have a margin of error due to color if the target, sunlight, etc etc already hampering your ability to accurately mil a target.
Well we don't use the imperial system for anything today.
But i guess, wouldn't be to hard remembering the numbers with some training. As long as the matches uses the ipsc target sizes.
And as long as it gets you close enough...

@CSTactical do you really think you'll have the MPCT3's in your hands in 4-6 weeks? If so...I better fatten that piggie up some more...and soon.
So...4-6 weeks....then 2 weeks to Cerakote...and then a week to mail...I could have this by my birthday on May 3rd? It could be a good party.
@CSTactical you wanna set me up with a straight trade? Lightly used 527 MPCT1 for an MPCT3?
Thought it wouldn't hurt to askA straight trade used for new? I wish... You can probably sell it without losing much and than just pre-order it
I’ve only needed illumination once for wife. Red worked better for me.
I honestly forgot you could change the color until just now.
The funnel is still perfectly functional on any target shape, so long as the width is 6, 9, 12, or 18" (or equivalent in metric). Doesn't "have" to be IPSC shape. We just made it to accommodate those specific widths based on those popular IPSC targets commonly used in reticle ranging scenarios.

Has ZCO come out with covers for objective/eye piece yet....I need to buy some
Which brand are most people choosing? Any pros or cons to each one?
Kind of odd that it doesn't come with covers, considering the price. I mean, even the Revic scopes come with covers (which are Tenebrex made, with the Revic logo).
Years ago, seven of us went to a local casino to play in a big poker tournament. Hours and hours later, here I am at the final table. One of my friends spoke up and laughed. We just spent hours of grinding to get to the final table...and I look around and it looks like our Thursday night game. Of the final nine, seven of us were friends and practically drove together to the tournament. Afterwards, we all cashed out. I came in 2nd and we were all Top 7. We celebrated by going to the steak house
The Waiter asked me what I wanted. I replied with, "What comes with the steak? Baked Potato, Veggies, what?" He said, "Nothing sir. I can add whatever you like." I was like a $100 steak doesn't come with a potato? He said, "Sir, if you can afford a $100 steak, does it really matter that it doesn't come with a potato when you can afford to buy any side you like?" This was in the early 1990's.
So...the ZCO...If you can afford one...and you want one...does it really matter that it doesn't come with a baked potato? You can afford to buy anything to go with it you like...and even a cheesecake for dessert.
