If you attacked our Capitol and you have been convicted, then that should stay.”
Welker said, “So then to the question, though, do you disagree with Trump saying that he’ll free them?”
McDaniel said, “I do not think that people who committed violent acts on January 6th should be free.”
She added, “I don’t think violence should be in our political discourse, Republican or Democrat, and I disagree with that. I agree with him on a whole host of other things. Let’s close the border. Let’s make sure we have good incomes for people. Let’s make sure we do a lot of great things, but on that point, I don’t think we should be freeing people who violently attacked Capitol Hill police officers and attacked the Capitol.”

The topic comes up ever so many months and you'll find quite a lot of people will chime in with the blind "you shouldn't have to bed a chassis" line. The recent "what the pros use" chassis article from Precision Rifle Blog revealed some numbers I think many will find surprising. Before getting into the article, let's get one point out of the way:

For that to be a universal truth (chassis should not require bedding), it would mean that any chassis that requires bedding to remove something like a zero shift.......is by default a defective chassis. But, you'll find that most of the time when a chassis requires bedding that it is easily within manufacturing specs and all but identical to a chassis of the same brand that doesn't require bedding. So, you can't have it both ways. Either chassis are subject to bedding when needed, or chassis requiring bedding must be defective.

Here is a screenshot from the article pertaining to MPA. There were 50 shooters in the top 200 using an MPA chassis of some sort. Just shy of 50% of those 50 shooters have their chassis bedded. Everyone in the top 20 with an MPA chassis reported their chassis to be bedded.


The TLDR version: it's impossible for universal fit bedding areas will match up to every action enough that bedding will never be required by a properly machined chassis.

It's perfectly fine not to bed a chassis. However, I'd encourage anyone who insists you shouldn't have to bed a chassis to take some time and either rationally reevaluate your opinion, or do some impact testing on various chassis (you'll find that many will experience some zero shift of some sort).

Whats the best way to adjust the parallax on a 3x18x50 scope? My zero is 200yds @ 14 X. Parallax is perfect. I know parallax changes with power changes. Would it be better to set parallax at 18X, and just leave it there? Using the 200yd zero. Scope will be used 90% at 14X. Occasionally bumped up to 18X for a whistle-pig at 400yrds.

About 3% of the time, the spent case does not eject from the action. My first run with this action was a 1 day. I had 3 jams in the match. It seems to do it more on slow cycles.

I took spent brass and chambered it. Ejected it slowly and it is hitting the opening on the action and bouncing back into the action. When I run it slow that way, it’ll throw it back in the action about 90% of the time.

I read some solutions to possibly fix that problem in other actions. The most replied solutions was to buy an impact!

With the new Leupold MK4 HD 2.5-10, Is there any big benefit to pay more for the MK5 HD 2-10? My intent was to get the MK5 2-10 for my new MK12ish rifle, but with the new 2.5-10, I’m not sure if it’s worth the extra money.

I know the MK4 HD is new, but I appreciate any insight from anybody who has either one of these optics.

Current setup is a Lee single stage + Competition shell holders as I have a bitch of a time get proper shoulder setback (Starline brass because I dont wanna f good brass--I'm still learning). This time I was consistently at 0.0035 Shoulder bump. I tried to be super consistent on the down stroke, (Lee doesn't "cam over")
Everyone once in a while, I still get a round that wont chamber. its roughly 1 outta 15 or so? (50 rounds today--had 3). I was checking brass throughout the process that it chambered in the rifle, and as I'm ocd, the "nearby" rounds were loaded immediately before and after chamber fine and fire off no problem.

I asked around at the match didn't get much insight, so I'll throw it out here as yet my continued struggle reloading.

I read a Guns and Ammo article that suggests the 6 ARC caliber got adopted by a Special Ops unit for its superior capabilities over the 5.56 , with regard to engaging farther targets. Does anyone know if this is true? The article is attached.

A growing number of parents are rightfully refusing to have their children subjected to COVID vaccine-contaminated blood; when HIV-contaminated blood is introduced into America’s bloodstream, what parent will accept that either?
