Shotgun World

Anyone here a member? Bunch of stiff self righteous assholes. Posted a thread about idiots shooting across bare threads with chokes removed and because I used “fn” and “hell” … they deleted the thread. Reason - Your post in the thread Shooting through threads (no choke) was deleted. Reason: You will keep your posts free of vulgar words. I literally used the words fn and hell….guess shotgun shooters are a whole different breed….drink their Evan Williams bourbon with a lifted pinky….oh shit….i did it again….Evan Williams is ok ….really….if you can’t afford top shelf, we still invite you here on the hide and respect your poor taste.

Would like to trade this for 1 used nxs, or maybe a mk5, Tenmile or similar MOA scopes plus cash Or possibly two quality scopes.
Other trades
Xlr MG chassis with carbon
Origin or tl3 long action

Spotters Vortex does it again

I have owned and used an 85mm Razor spotter for years. Awesome spotter. I have the 27-60 variable eyepiece and liked it alright but later bought the fixed 22X with MRAD reticle and absolutely love that eyepiece.

Well, 2 weeks ago I pulled my spotter out of my bag and the eyepiece fell off the body and on a rock directly on the glass, dead center. I couldn't do it again if I tried 100 times. As you already probably know, I sent it back to Vortex and they replaced it no questions asked. I ask them to repair it but they just sent a new one like they usually do. Most people know of Vortex's great customer service but I was still compelled to give a shout out.

Also, if you own a Razor and don't have an MRAD eyepiece I highly suggest getting one. It makes reading your calls so much easier and is much better in the summer for mirage with the lower 22X power. And making a fixed eyepiece is easier to make aberration free glass so it tends to be clearer.

Buy Vortex with confidence.

Varget kernels

Used up all my older Varget and cracked a new 8lb the other day and the kernel shape and length are all over the place.

Contacted Hodgdon, said they use a new process to cut the powder and that this was normal and beneficial to the burn.
Maybe I’ve been under a rock?

This is maybe half the oddballs from a single 24g drop.

9 meals away from anarchy… watch this!

So the French Farmers are going to do it… after blocking the roads and still not having an impact on the green communists in Paris…. They are blockading Paris and will shut down the big food market.

This bears watching… because like many urbans (NYC in particular) folks don’t do a weekly or monthly grocery shop. They eat at restaurants and cafe’s. Or get food each evening largely from small local stores. They don’t “can things” or have chest freezers or staples on the shelf. Most everything is fresh. Meaning a few days and it’s gone.

If the Farmers are successful in shutting down Paris for a week as they are planning, 21 meals worth of… dwindling food stock.

The Canadian truckers just went to Ottawa and parked. Blew their horns a bit. And were nice to the residents. The French Farmers are organizing a blockade. A siege. No food. No gas. No traffic… and they won’t supply millions of pounds of food with cargo planes or trains… not that there is a big enough airport inside the Paris ring. De Gaulle is outside the ring.

2 million residents (plus supposedly 200k more un-accounted-for migrants, mostly male Muslims) in an area of 40 square miles.

I am sure there will be gaps… side streets and small roads. Some stuff will get through.

But this is going to be interesting. The farmers have had it with the urban green socialists. And are about to inflict some “taste of things to come” on them.

Everyone is tired of commies it seems…. Especially the rural population that socialism generally wants to extinguish and collectivize and enslave. Hunger Games much??

Does anyone make a brass deflector like the discontinued KET deflector?

I got one of these a while back and really like it. It's a very simple device that redirects brass straight down onto the bench or shooting mat under the rifle. It can be mounted with a simple scope body clip or a clip that fits on the pic rail. So it will fit on virtually any rifle.

1706492839716.png

Here it is on my SCAR-16S:

Not shown in these photos, but I usually put a "Billy Towel" underneath to catch the brass and keep it from bouncing off the bench or shooting mat.
1706493322341.png

My range buddies like it, and I'd like to get some for them as gifts. And maybe an extra one for myself! But KET (Kinetic Energy Tools) quit making it!

Does anyone here know of anyone who makes a similar item? I don't want a brass CATCHER. I don't want a bag of brass hanging on my rifle. I like the way this deflector works. And it makes it a lot easier to "police your brass" when it ends up in a nice neat little pile down below the rifle.

Thanks!

Russian Lawmaker Offers to Help Texas Get Independence From US

Russian lawmaker Sergey Mironov offered to help Texas get independence from the United States in a social media post on Saturday. On Saturday, Mironov, the leader of faction A Just Russia—For Truth in the Russian legislature, wrote on X, formerly Twitter, "In the conflict between Texas and the United States, I am on the side of the state. At least Texas does not interfere in the affairs of other countries. If necessary, we are ready to help with the independence referendum. And of course, we will recognize the People's Republic of Texas if there is one. Good luck! We're with you!" -Newsweek
