I guess the problem is there are really no opportunities to shoot long range out here. About an hour away there is a 300 yard range but that's about it. So I definitely do not want to sink a ton of money into it.

I've always liked the Remington 700 military "sniper rifles" so I was thinking of an inspired something along those lines. Do you guys think I should grab a Howa 1500 barreled action? Sold $1200 shipped to your FFL, C&R OK. This is a copy of the Rhodesian Combat Shotgun. The originals were 12 gauge Browning A5's. This copy uses a Remington Model11 in 12 gauge which was a licensed copy of the Browning A5. This gun has a 10 shot magazine tube and custom extended forend. The finish is a custom proprietary Cerakote I call "Parkerized Gray" The Walnut stock has a rubber recoil pad. The gun comes with a 1947 era Nydar Holograpic sight that is in perfect working condition.
The Nydar Shotgun Sight gained fame in 1945 for its use on… well, shotguns. This was a remarkably simple contraption, converting Howard’s closed design into a more modern open reflex configuration. Attached to a strip of metal a few inches long, the sight consisted of a front glass roughly an inch and a half in diameter. Back at the rear of the mounting apparatus, a small prism and reticle sat open to the sun. With sufficient ambient light, the reticle would be reflected up onto the forward glass.

Lever and CFE 223 are in that range, meter well, but seem way more temp sensitive.

Anyone validated the chart below? Specifically asking for 223 and 308 loads.

Looking for some advice and opinions of the best rail mounts for Harris BRM-S. I see that the LaRue seems to be very popular but it doesn’t look like it has the option of rotating for target following. Harris makes a rail mount that does rotate. I want the mount to rotate in conjunction with the BRM-S being able to swivel but would like to know what else is out there that others may be using.

I knew their quality control had slipped but damn. Not only does the finish quality look like shit, but it looks like there might be actual shit on the windage adjustment. You’d think they could at least pick a decent one for a stock photo. Looks like they kicked it through the shop and into the bathroom Ace Ventura style and then the website dude scooped it up and took a pic after wiping his ass with his hand.
