Mortgage rates on a 30-year fixed loan are at the highest levels in 20 years.​

The rate on a popular type of home loan increased this week to its highest level in 20 years, according to data released Thursday.


The average rate on a 30-year fixed loan increased to 6.92% as of Thursday, according to the results of Freddie Mac’s weekly Primary Mortgage Market Survey—the highest such rate since April 2002.


Mortgage rates have more than doubled this year as the Federal Reserve has moved to combat inflation. “We continue to see a tale of two economies in the data,” Sam Khater, Freddie Mac’s chief economist, said in a statement. “Strong job and wage growth are keeping consumers’ balance sheets positive, while lingering inflation, recession fears and housing affordability are driving housing demand down precipitously.”

Prospective buyers have pulled back in recent months as high mortgage rates have weighed on home loan demand. The volume of applications for a loan to purchase a home last week—a leading indicator of buyer demand—was 39% lower than the same week last year, the Mortgage Bankers Association said earlier this week.

Recent inflation news has the potential to keep rates high. Inflation measured by the Consumer Price Index in September was hotter than expected, according to data released Thursday. The 10-year Treasury yield, with which mortgage rates often move, gained following the CPI release.

The new policy includes access to customer data. UPS looks like it's trying to pump up their ESG score. Their version of the "discourage button". This includes non-serialized firearm parts.



WASHINGTON, D.C. -(Ammoland.com)- Last month, AmmoLand News posted about the new anti-gun policies of shipping giant UPS. Now it appears that the common carrier is stepping up its anti-gun programs.

Firearms sellers started to receive a new agreement that they must sign to ship firearms through UPS. The letter contains new provisions in addition to the requirements announced last month. The most concerning of these new regulations is that UPS requires gun companies to turn over customer data and must allow UPS access to review and examine the shipper's books and records relevant to the products being shipped upon request. The shipper must also provide UPS with invoices for any firearms-related products.

Most disturbing is that UPS has sole and unlimited discretion over what documents they can require the shippers to turn over. This new policy gives UPS the unlimited power and discretion to examine and review any customer documents related to firearms sales. The shipper also must agree to turn over any documents UPS requests within five business days or risk the termination of their shipping accounts. UPS says It will use its newfound power to audit the books to ensure compliance with its new policies.

UPS doesn't tell customers whether the shipping company will keep customer information secure. The new UPS policy grants itself sole discretion to decide what it can examine and do with the data. Most customers do not want their private information given to anyone, especially a company that has made several recent anti-gun moves, including threatening to seize legal gun parts from one Florida seller.

So Pfizer finally admits the vaccine was never tested against transmission so time to go after them now that’s it’s on record.

Whoever wants to win the republican nomination for president should explain they are going to amend the VICP (Vaccine Injury Compensation Program) and/or CICP (Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program) regulations allowing vaccine injured persons and their families to sue the drug companies with no financial caps for 100 years out. Read Newsweek article for details on these programs.

VICP (non Covid vaccines) allows individuals to make claims within three years of their first symptom. CICP (Covid vaccines) on the other hand, allows petitioners only one year from the date of vaccination.

CICP doesn't pay fees for lawyers or expert witnesses or provide awards for suffering or damages; VICP does. VICP also permits appeals all the way to the Supreme Court.

In other words, people who make claims about injuries or allergic reactions to either of the COVID-19 vaccines have less time to make their petitions than people who have filed claims for injuries from vaccines related to the measles or the flu. They also are less likely to receive compensation for injuries from COVID-19 vaccines, and if they do receive compensation, it likely will be a smaller amount.”

“In 2005, the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP) was created to protect from liability pharmaceutical companies that make or distribute vaccines unless there is "willful misconduct" by the company.

HHS Secretary Alex Azar invoked PREP in February in response to the pandemic, declaring COVID-19 to be "a public health emergency warranting liability protections for covered countermeasures."

This means that companies like Moderna and Pfizer are protected from lawsuits regarding their COVID-19 vaccines until 2024.”
