556 Cans

Well guys,

I went full retard and bit the hype on a few cans which host other guns. I have a CGS helios, TBAC dominus SR and a couple RC2s. RC2 was fine on a Geissele 11.5, little gassy. The dominus SR and helios QD weren't that impressive (RC2 was better, gas/sound). I'm kind of wondering of those would be better suited on a 30 cal.

I just grabbed a LMT specwar (Praying for no barrel cant). I'm going to grab the 12.5 barrel and ebcg. As far as cans go all I have is high back pressure cans (Helios has the vent but it's meh).

I know surefire has the RC3 but their price tag is fucken dumb.

Recommendations for good sound reduction/tone, flash suppression, and possibly weight?

Anything better than PST Gen2 2-10x32 for under $1k?

I’m close to buying this scope for a shorty 308. It want It to be capable of close up shooting, say a running deer at 25 yards but also able to drop it onto a tripod or bipod for a 600 yard shot. Pretty typical 308 bolt action stuff.
Requirements: Under $1k used, MAGNIFICATION - min 2.5X and 8X or higher. Mil/Mil. SFP is ok, FFP a plus if the reticle works well at all magnifications. Prefer a shorter scope, doesnt have to be compact, but I don’t want a 14-15” long scope.

1-8X or 1-10X would be ideal, but the prices for these are much higher for what you get and performance is a huge compromise. Seems the 1-6X scopes are better performers. I think a 2-10 would be a better fit than 1-6X but you could maybe change my mind. I can shoot 2x with both eyes open on moving targets just not as well as with 1X.

I’ve been researching:
PST Gen2 2-10x32
PST Gen1 2.5-10x44
Credo 2-10x36
Credo 1-8
Credo 2.5-15 (have this, like it, but 13.9”, only 2.5X and SFP)
PA GLX 1-8
PA GLX 2.5-10
Burris XTR2 1-8
Vudu 1-8
SwampFox 2-12 Kentucky

I‘m looking for advice and opinions based from people who have used these scopes and can speak to how they compare to each other. I believe the Vortex PST checks all the boxes, but am concerned with some disappointing reviews I’ve read. They could be from glass snobs, but I also had the Vortex Razor HD LH 2-10 a couple years ago and it was mediocre compared to Trijicon and Burris scopes I Have.

The true purpose of gun registration, crystal clear. California man raided for trying to register rifle.

CALIFORNIA:

A man builds a perfectly legal, California compliant lower receiver and buffer assembly for a rifle. The moment he thought he was going to "do the right thing", "obey the law", and filed paperwork to register the receiver, his house was raided by 6+ police with a search warrant.

This is what "gun registration" was designed to achieve.

This is what gun control looks like: Drug addicts and mental cases assaulting and murdering people on the streets, trashing stores, stealing cars and catalytic converters in broad daylight with impunity, while half of the town's police force goes to serve a warrant on some guy trying to abide by the law and register a rifle.

I just watched 'Queen of the Desert' her life story. What a life she lived.

Firearms TacOps Rifles For Sale: 338LM, 308 (SPF), 6.5CM (SPF)

Fellow Hiders! Like many of you, I'm a small business owner and it's time for me to free up a little capital by rightsize my safe a bit. I only get to shoot once or twice a month so I'm letting these beauties go, though I intend to keep one as no safe is complete without a Tac Ops. I am one of MikeR's biggest fans, and he builds incredible rifles. Mike's exacting standard for accuracy is why his rifles command the premiums they do.

Two of these rifles are unfired by me: the Tac70 338LM and the Delta 51 in 6.5CM. I acquired both during the pandemic and my attention was obviously focused on more pressing matters.

2. Echo 51 308 - My workhorse 1000-1200 rounds, normal wear for that round count - SPF to Bakwa

3. Tango 51 308 - Low round count 200-300, clean rifle and an elegant classic - off-market pending sales

4. Delta 51 Surgeon action, DBM in 6.5CM - SPF to Wm17

These shouldn't sit in my safe anymore and want at least two of them to find new homes. I'll entertain reasonable offers but no lowballs please. I have many more pics and will send those for serious inquiries. Scopes/bipods/suppressors not included, but will discuss those options with the buyers. Thanks for looking and feel free to text or DM for questions. 317-727-6472
