Who’s done the full run?

So here is my question:

In regards to shooting matches:

Who here has worked up from varies levels of 22LR, arrived at a Vudoo or Rimx and have the data to show its worth the money?
Or experience..

Example: 10/22 to CZ (or any other) then to Vudoo/Rimx.

I’m in the position where I’m asking myself, am I dropping the shots past 200 or is it my gun? Running a self built “custom” 10/22. I can generally keep up with the top shooters but can’t consistently stay in the top 10 when shooting.

Was considering building a CZ but keep being told there is no point. I just have no way to quantify the differences do to access to weapons.

Thanks

So judges and court clerks that file illegal paper work and make illegal rulings try to extort citizen journalists from reporting g what goes on in court cases .
I sure hope the justice industry boomers jump in to tell us how “law and order “ need to be upheld regardless of whose rights are violated and never mind illegal court orders.
NM is totally off the rails. As is the former United States of America as a whole .

Randy Travis. Amazing Grace. Amazing comeback.

He was given only a 1-2% chance of recovery. His wife took the odds.

Randy Travis’ Remarkable Comeback: Defying the Odds with a Powerful Performance

Renowned country music artist Randy Travis, despite the devastating stroke he suffered years ago, continues to captivate audiences with his hauntingly beautiful voice. In a moving tribute to his fellow country music icon George Jones, Travis delivered an unforgettable rendition of “Amazing Grace” that sent shivers down my spine.

Taking the stage at the Grand Ole Opry, Travis stood illuminated by a mesmerizing backdrop of blue and purple lights. Joined by his peers, including Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, and Travis Tritt, he paid homage to the late George Jones, leaving the audience spellbound.
Travis’ journey to this remarkable moment has been one of perseverance and the unwavering support of his devoted fans, as his wife Mary openly shares. Reflecting on her husband’s challenging stroke, Mary acknowledges the tremendous impact that loyal fans have had during this difficult time.

Back in July 2013, Randy Travis was rushed to a Dallas hospital due to complications from viral cardiomyopathy. The stroke he suffered necessitated brain surgery, pushing him into a coma. Physicians held a bleak outlook, estimating his chances of survival at a mere 1% to 2%.
In the face of such dire circumstances, it seemed futile to prolong his life. The doctors directly posed the question to Mary Davis Travis: What did she want to achieve? The option of discontinuing life support and allowing her husband to pass peacefully was presented to her.

Yet, Mary defied convention and chose a different path. Recognizing her husband’s indomitable spirit, she couldn’t bear the thought of turning off the respirators. Against the medical odds, she fervently prayed, pleading with God to bring Randy back, in any form.

“I prayed earnestly, ‘God, please reunite us, however that may be,'” Mary recalls, recounting her emotional plea.
In the face of tremendous adversity, Randy Travis’ story serves as a testament to the power of hope and the human spirit. His awe-inspiring performance at the Grand Ole Opry reminds us that resilience and determination can defy even the bleakest of odds. Through the unwavering support of his loved ones and his devoted fans, Randy Travis continues to defy expectations, inspiring us all with his incredible comeback.

“We consider ourselves blessed and grateful for where we are. We don’t know what God has planned for us after this recovery, but for now, we’re just thankful to be here and living a different chapter,” Mary shared. “We’re happy to serve wherever we’re needed and, although Randy dreams of returning to the stage one day, we’re simply enjoying life and feeling grateful for where we are now.”
Since experiencing his stroke, Randy has been dependent on a wheelchair. However, he has shown remarkable progress and can now independently walk short distances. Furthermore, his passion for music remains deeply rooted, and he has actively pursued his musical endeavors.

In recognition of his enduring contributions, Randy was rightfully inducted into the prestigious Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016. His life’s journey, as his wife affirms, has been a blend of hardships and moments of sheer beauty.
Despite the lingering effects of aphasia, Randy’s determination and prayers have fueled his pursuit to regain his former brilliance. The following performance serves as a testament to his unwavering efforts and ongoing recovery.

Source for hard cast handgun bullets?

I've been doing a lot of fly fishing along the Idaho & Montana border lately. The area is full of mountain lions, bears, moose and reports of wolves. I'm looking for hard cast 180gn .357 bullets similar to what Underwood uses in their ammo. I would just buy the Underwood ammo but it is way too expensive to practice with, so I want to roll my own. My .44 is bigger & heaver than I like to carry while fly fishing, my Python is perfect. Who makes your favorite hard cast?

Obvious movie reference joke - leads to arrest and terrorism charges

It’s old news but but beginning to work towards some type of resolution.

Man swatted and arrested and charged with terrorism charges for Covid joke on facecrook. The joke was linked to a scene in the movie World War Z.

It’s taken 2 courts nearly 3 years to decide that the man’s rights were violated and he now has the option to sue for damages.

Must have been some of those “good ones “ that didn’t enforce Covid tyranny.
Scary stuff the American we knew is dead. Plan accordingly

+P chamber throats

So, I'm throwing this out here and I'm going to be very blunt about it and I'll also make a post on accurate shooter even though I'm not on there a lot.

Here is my stance on +P chamber throats. You're cutting away the height of the lands as well as making the throat longer (as much as another .750" from what we've seen) as I understand it and from what I've seen in several barrels customers have sent back to us. So, guys think they can run a heavier powder charge and keep pressures down etc... to get more velocity. Ok fine but by doing that you can expect it to have a negative impact on barrel life/accuracy.

This is another variable beyond our control. You want to put a bigger camshaft in your cars engine and a bigger carburetor I get it but then you add nitro methane in your gas tank or put nitrous on it as well to go even faster.... there is a tradeoff for going faster and doing things like this. You don't get to eat your cake and keep it to.

So, I've told all my guys in the office here... I will not warranty any barrel that a customer thinks the barrel died early etc... and they are running a +P chamber set up.

Starlink workaround

We are in a rural area with only 1 option for internet with no option for fiber optic anytime soon. Our current provider sucks balls. Service interuptions throughout the day are a giant pain in my ass.

I've been exploring Starlink but they don't have coverage in my area. Last trip out to my FFL he started telling me about his new Starlink service. His address isn't in a service area so he ordered it using an address in a service and took back and mounted it at his shop. Seems like an easy solution. Has anyone else tried this and made it work?

Meopta Binos- I think I was wrong about them

I was looking at Vortex, Kowa, Zeiss, Leica, etc, etc. to use for back ups binos and for the grandkids to use on their hunts.

After spending time with all of them the Meopta MeoPro HD's (10x42) were the ones I went with and now that I have had some real time with them I am really impressed. While I still think the EL's are my favorite I dont really feel like there is all that much difference between mid range binos at 25% of the cost of the high dollar models. I would also add that the Meopta'sMeoPro's are better than similarly priced other brands.

Dont want to start a bino war here.......I was just very very pleasantly surprised at how great the Meopta's really are in the field.

This is going to be epic Tin foil hat fodder!!!

Not that us Reynolds Bowler types have been wrong a lot lately.

But what nefarious thing could they be plotting with this…

I think everyone should turn off phones and put in faraday bags…. Unplug TV. Take batteries out of radio… put foil over car satellite receiver…

Just to fuck with FEMA.

Just too good an opportunity!
