Get ready for the thugs to unleash…

Republican Gen. Bolduc Physically Attacked by Individual Outside Wednesday’s Debate
https://www.breitbart.com/midterm-e...cked-by-individual-outside-wednesdays-debate/

Also, Illinois gubanatorial candidate was threathened with “being skinned alive.”

If they don’t steal the elections on Tuesday, my bet is that the “anti fascist” (actual fascists) and the leftist brownshirts come out of the woodwork….

Bidens minions are already unleashing the hounds…. And justifying it with bogus Jan6 claims and the new “call to arms” which is the Pelosi farce.

Claiming the USA is about mob rule and using violence to get it is the new tactic when their bankrupt communist philosophies don’t play with the people. Marx not only predicted it, he called for it.

Expect not only a cold and long winter, but the crazies to crawl back out of the sewers like they did in 2020…. Better funded, better directed… better armed and with the sought if the executive branch behind them.

Hope I am wrong. But based on historical precedents, the tea leaves are not coming up roses.

[Serious] How would you prove via firearms / ballistics the Earth isn't flat?

I'm not trolling, genuinely curious what LR and ELR people would say to someone claiming the earth is flat with said person also into firearms (say they've only shot under 100 yards) by using your knowledge of firearms as a more scientific means to prove the Earth isn't flat.

So far I've been able to mainly focus on the earth's rotation effecting bullet travel especially at different attitudes, how sights work in relation to the barrel (since gravity apparently doesn't exist in their eyes) due to the effects of gravity and cartridge math, how lights and lasers including NV clearly show a straight path doesn't mean the earth is flat.

ATACR 4-16, 7-35 vs. NX8 4-32

Price aside what is the preferred scope(s) for my use case?

I'm going to first slap it on a 22lr to shoot paper at 50 and 100 yards and doing tiny holes; potentially using it for 22lr to shoot tiny targets at 150-300 yards.

It'll move over to a 223 or 308 rifle at some point in its life that'll shoot 500-800.

I'd be all over the 5-25 ATACR but mil discount is not available for the model unfortunately.

Other final option is to do the 7-35 but that's a $1,000+ price point comparatively and not sure I'd be able to make much out of a F1 reticle at 10-12 power nor do I need a full 35 power on the high end?

Triggers

Looking to upgrade my Remington 700. I have one with a Timney which I like, and one with a Jard which is just ok. Ive heard a lot about the Triggertech, especially the Diamond. Im no great shooter so would it be worth the extra $$$ for the Diamond over the Primary? I know its subjective but has anyone tried both? Other suggestions?

"PRS" actions vs "F-Class" actions

So I was doing my usual overreation research for long range as I was planning on joining some local F-class youths and it seems they have decided on an entirely different set of actions as their go-to: Kelby, BAT, and Borden.

The hide (which seems to be Tactical driven or more tactical style) has its list of Defiance, Zermatt, Impact, etc.. (Lookup PRS/NRL equipment list and its all Imapct, Zermatt, Defiance, etc...., plus just general consensus around here plus vendors and what they offer).

For the life of me I couldn't figure out what one set brings that the other doesn't---is this a tribal thing or are there differences lend themselves to certain styles of shooting? (Triggers and Barrels were all pretty much the same). I'm not off to rebuy all new equipment as I got stuff good enough to support me for a lot of growth (plus pre-fit barrels--I haven't seen a lot of those for the F-class actions, but then I also haven't been looking)--but this struck me as odd and maybe something I didn't understand.

PS apologies for calling the hide's group "PRS" actions, it just made it easier to name the group. We fully acknowledge that Frank was first and we occupy land taken from him the discipline he popularized with much effort

Walked out of new state of the art shooting range.

So I go and buy a new handgun from this authorized dealer, and when I arrive I noticed it was a brand new facility.
I go in and purchase handgun via fast track ccw and could not get background check to comeback, no worries I will be back in the morning.

While I was waiting for background check I was checking out there new state of the art indoor range, man it was nice. So I go to the range counter and fill out paperwork for range card for in the morning. So I would have it all done when I came back in the next day.

Get there the next day with my other pistol and decide to go to range before I pick up my new pistol. So go to the range counter and show him my new card and get things going. I said I brought my own new in box ammo, figuring he wants to see it’s not reman, and he tells me I have to buy there ammo to shoot on there range even if it’s my own new ammo.

So he calls the owner over to talk to me and tells me the same thing, mind you the same guy that checked my paperwork for the new pistol I purchased the day before.

So the dude doesn’t even cut me a break after I bought a pistol from him the day before, I was fucking pissed, he leaves and I told the guy at the range counter to keep the new range card.

I then proceeded to go fill out the last few paperwork items and picked up my new pistol and walked out. Pisses me off that with all the price gouging with the ammo nowadays and then we get these guys making it even worse and making people buy the ammo at an even more inflated price to shoot at there range. Oh and the owner tells me he’s selling his ammo at competitive prices, I’m thinking yea you are.

Sorry but Im pretty sure he’s going to piss a lot of people off with those kind of bs practices and loose a lot of potential new customers. I know he definitely lost my buisness instantly. I am not going to name the particular buisness because he is not here to try and defend his Bull Shit practices.

So basically he looses my buisness because he does not get the sale for one box of ammo he wants to charge me for to shoot on his range after spending over $ 900.00 at his store the day before, lol.
I could of just bought the box and sent my ammo down range after that. No I will not give anyone my buisness that pulls that shit. One and done brother Im down the road.

Temp job in MD, gun advice?

I have been offered a 2 month job in Maryland. This job pays pretty darn well and I could really use it now. It would involve driving from the NW across the country to MD.

I really don't want to make that drive without some kind of gun with me. I also want to make sure that I don't get arrested for having said gun with me when I get to MD.

Any advice on what is allowed?
My options to take would be

AR 15
M1 garand in 308
Glock 19
Smith and Wesson 66 375 revolver

.308 Classic Build - Bullet/Ammo Selection

I'm in the process of waiting for parts for a .308 build I have in the works. It will be a bighorn origin short, 26" criterion MTU shouldered prefit, manners prs1 with mini chassis, dmr3, 419 hellfire, and trigger tech primary.

My whole purpose of the rifle is to have a rifle I don't really mess with all too much and doesn't chase performance, for days I just want to shoot for the sake of shooting and nothing else. I mess with my other rifles a bunch, this will just stay zeroed with one ammo for basically its whole life. Weekend cruiser to my race car type of gun.

With that, I plan to go deep in factory ammo to start and then load for the rifle.

Is the gold standard for .308 factory still the federal gmm 175 smk? Does the m118lr stuff from Winchester do well? Is the 175smk the golden bullet for handloading, or should I be looking elsewhere?

Again, I'm not chasing anything but good times with this rifle, so consistent performance is the goal. I mess with my 6.5's enough, I want to set and forget this .308.

Looking for any input from those of you with a .308, and bonus points if your use case is similar to mine.

$1000 6.5 CM rifle

Guys have been great helping figure out a caliber that will work for me in the Recoil Comparison thread I started. To recap I'm new to rifles, have a bad shoulder and joined a club with a 450yd range. I need a 99% range gun 1% hunting rifle and have settled on 6.5 creedmoor.

For a rifle, I said I'm thinking either Bergara HMR or Savage Axis II Precision. Savage was shot down pretty quick, Bergara is OK but Tikka is the way to go. That said, I'm limiting my budget to $1k so Tikka is out.

So, is Bergara HMR best I can do for $1k? Other option I found would be to get a Howa heavy barreled action and an MDT Oryx chassis from Brownells.

Would appreciate opinions and other suggestions.

Supreme Court poised to eliminate racial discrimination/affirmative action

It should be laughable to hear so-called 'intellectuals' argue that racial discrimination is good and essential to a healthy society, until you realize they're serious: We must discriminate against the most capable individuals, so that we can continue to curry favor(votes) with incompetent minorities.

How do you think the 2 affirmative action SC appointees will vote?
