Watched a video on YouTube. I believe it was Johnny's reloading bench. He compared starline and Lapua 223 rem brass. The starline actually had more consistent weights than the lapua. He then checked case volume. 100 pieces of starline and 100 pieces of Lapua. The lapua case volume was much more consistent than the starline.

I've seen a lot on this forum about people weighing and sorting brass in other threads. Would weighing and sorting brass even make a difference if the case volumes are in consistent?

Some threads on sites like Twitter remain untouched. Netizens are immediately suspicious and came to the conclusion that the local police may be already bribed by this group with huge sums of cash to act as security for them.

* The police of the county in question when confronted by the worried netizens acted annoyed and did not want to be bothered. Later on that week, censors on Weibo and elsewhere removed most of the posts documenting this find, although many reposts are constantly being made by other tech savvy netizens all over the country. Bribery of local police is the key way these abduction rings operate in brazen fashion. Long range target below shows the 6 Creed. 2 shot groups from 300 to 1,000 yards.
801/802 is one string...805/806 is another. Strings of fire will impact differently based on changing winds, but groups are consistently ~0.3MOA. 904/905 is 1 hole at 900...K5/K6 is 2 shots at 1,000 and covers 3 inches.

so i have a ruger blackhawk that i am customizing. i've done everything with my hand tools up until now, my next step i need some guidance on and figured the folks here might be able to point me in the right direction.

there are five screws that hold the frame on. two of the five are identical; the other 3 are each different. the issue is (like most revolvers) the flat screw heads. they are the stupidest thing ever, and most manufacturers stay with them. dan wesson, and magnum research are the only two i know of that was smart enough to use allen screws instead of flat tip trash. and for those thinking "use the right screw driver and this wont be an issue"....not the case. the fucking things deform even with me being very careful.

the solution here is to use either an allen head or torx screws and alter them to fit. at least that's what i am thinking. if there is a better option, i'm all ears.

i know there are guys here with the skills that can point me in the right direction. any and all help is appreciated.

so far, i've done the free spawl (super simple), put custom elk grips on it, dovetailed an old ivory sight, slicked up the action, and fitted a bisley hammer to it. replacing the shit screws that come with it is next on my hit list.

And I will be if I try this again. Read the rules.

Wow, I guess it has been a few years since I have gone to ShotShow. There was that whole pandemic thing, another kid, and then I just plain didn’t feel like going last year. In hindsight, skipping it last year might have been a mistake. The pictures looked like a ghost town instead of the mob scene the show usually is. Much better for a person like myself who dislikes crowds of people. I think I’m going to feel like a noob again going back this year. Looks like lots of stuff has changed with the layout at the very least. I’m not ever sure how many buildings they have spread the show over. Bought some new walking shoes with custom insoles for the show this year as well. I don’t have great feet. Even when I was young, thin, and athletic they gave me issues. Now that I’m a middle age dad bod, I am hobbled by the second day from walking and standing on concrete all day. Here it to hoping that goes better this year. Might help with taking the kids to the zoo as well.



Anyhow, not sure how much posting I will do this year from the show as it’s nice to go out to dinner and shows in the evenings but I will be checking on this thread for your thoughts and suggestions of who to visit, what too look at and any questions you might want me to direct to the venders. Just installed an angular tool box on my 14' utility trailer. It's about 2'x3' and 2ft tall. Now to fill it but I'd like the SH team to help me ensure I don't forget something important.

Have opportunity to clear some land of hogs in Florida, right now I own a PVS14, and a 27. Never used either on hogs yet, was looking to add a Thermal either clip on or stand alone. Current budget is $4500. The drawbacks on the NVG is muzzle flash and quick second shots can be issue, also exposure to white light will kill NVG shit dead. Options are keep my gear and add thermal, or sell off 27 and add $5k to thermal budget, still have the 14 and lasers.
