I am wondering what everyone's thoughts are regarding the short term market value of AR style pistols with braces once more people find out about the ATF's new rule going into affect in December.

There are a number of factors at play; the election, amnesty period and the recession. Don't forget the possibility of the NFA getting struck down in light of the Bruen decision. US v Hoover also comes to mind on that one. But we won't see anything on that till next year once the appeals run out.

What does everyone think? Will the value of the AR pistols with arm braces go up or down between now and December?

So I used to shoot exclusively a G19X with a DPP with 147 gr. I never worried about my POI because I've always just set my zero at 15 yards and it's hitting where I'm aiming.

Now I acquired a beautiful custom 9mm 1911 with traditional iron/fiber optic sights and even with a low 6 cloak hold, I'm hitting way way high (like a good 4-5in at 15 yards) the groups are fine and tight but the elevation is way too much and I even have adjustable sights and I've bottomed the adjustment and it's still way high, yet when I'm shooting 124gr, I'm dead on POA/POI.

Now I'm aware that there are poi shift when going from 124 to 147 but 5in at 15 yards is massive and I wonder if it could be me. I have really really really large hands and shoot strong hand thumbs over safety with support hand with the thumb riding the slide pointing forward. I also hook my support hand index finger around the trigger guard. I have good recoil control but I'm not sure what's causing this vertical difference beside the whole "subsonic bullets leaves slower therefore it gives more time the barrel to rise up".

I have 2 barrels on that specific 1911(including a very nice Kart custom fitted) and they both do the same.

I am linking this to give context. This is the third break in of my home in five years. I have been keeping most of my firearms locked up in a safe and I keep a Glock 34 in my night stand. The HPD officer who responded said that once they enter your home, once they start shooting that I should defend myself to the best of my ability.

I am thinking the right answer is an SBR of some sort in 7.62 or maybe a 300 blackout? At this point I do not really care about the cost. Things are getting out of control and I am going to defend my home and family.

This has been sitting in my closet for a few years. I've kept it around thinking I'd build something on it, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Stock has never been shot in competition nor taken hunting. It was skim bedded for a 700 5R and includes a Picatinny rail to attach a bipod.

I also bought a 1" Decelerator recoil pad to complement the 1/2" stock pad. Both are included as well as the stock spacer kit to increase/decrease LOP. BDL bottom and varmint/sendero contour but can be opened up to MTU/M40/Competition contour.

Damn, these people have had enough. Prayers for all.

A woman was beheaded by a sword-wielding assailant on a residential street in the Silicon Valley town of San Carlos, California, on Thursday in front of horrified onlookers. The man was later arrested, with police receiving counseling.

A woman’s head was severed with a sword in San Carlos Thursday, authorities with knowledge of the investigation told NBC Bay Area’s Investigative Unit.
The suspect, who returned to the scene, was arrested in connection with the woman’s death, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect was later identified as Jose Landaeta Solano.
Deputies near the intersection of Laurel Street and Magnolia Avenue were flagged down at about 11:50 a.m. by witnesses who reported an assault in progress, the sheriff’s office said. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found the woman dead.
