I’m a fan of the original RE games and the two remakes of the originals, but didn’t care for any of the Mika movies. The newest one outside of the Mila films was eh but better than the previous ones.

I'm new to mandrels. If I just want to run the mandrel through virgin brass , or run through sized brass to get a little better and more consistent neck tension, can I just lube the mandrel amd what kind of lube? I've read so much about it all that I'm just confused now. Dry lube galling, ect...

I have decided to give the Rim X another try after having FTF, and feeding issues with my first one a wile back. In that rifle I had a Timney 2 stage and ended up having to trim the cocking piece to resolve the FTF from excessive drag on the sear.

This time around I asked you guys what triggers you were using and I called Ray @ Zermatt. Ready said they build their actions for Trigger Tech triggered and that also seemed popular amongst those who contributed to my initial question. So I ordered a new Diamond 2 stage.

After installing it I found the bolt was pretty hard to close and the trigger has a bad hard spot to get through in order to make the shoe start moving in the 1st stage. I inspected everything and didn't see anything odd so I swapped the Diamond from my Vudoo (which has been perfect from the get go) into the Rim X and put the one from the Rim X into the Vudoo. The symptoms stayed with the Rim X.

Having been here before I knew I needed to reduce the height of the cocking piece in the bolt. I took 0.027" off the cocking piece checking it every 0.005". The bolt is easier to close but that damn catch / hard spot is still in the trigger. I put 100-120 rounds through it today after the reduction of the cocking piece and had no failure to fire but the trigger kinda sucks (no fault of the trigger).

Has anyone ran into this with this combo? If so what was your solution? I am going to remove more material from the cocking piece but almost 0.030" is a lot!

Also when I manual depress the sear and break the trigger it feels fine. It's just when it's in the Rim X action and not in the Vudoo. That's with 2 different triggers.

Rail is configured for a T3X, but can be made to work with a T3. Difference is in the hole in the receiver top on a T3X allows included rail recoil pins to work.

So my wife went out for her 0730 power walk and I'm on the computer doing my classwork while our 9 yo grandson is having his cereal. My cell phone rings and it's my wife saying can you come outside and help me because I tripped and fell and a neighbor gal a few blocks down saw it and helped her up and drove her to our place. Wife was in serious pain in her left hip and we couldn't even get her out of the neighbor's car. So I grab the grandson and my wife's Sorento and follow the kind neighbor to the hospital ER in Temple. The ER attendant came out with a wheel chair and we got her into it but wife was in agony. After about two hours waiting they finally took her back for x-rays and sure enough, fractured left hip. Five hours later they finally had an open ER bed and could give her some morphine pain meds and said they'd move her to a room on a regular patient floor as soon as one was available. So it's now about 2230 and they moved us out into the corridor as they needed the ER bed room she was in. So we sat in the corridor for another 2+ hours until finally they got us upstairs to a regular room so this was going on 0130. We finally got her semi-settled (still in a lot of pain if she moved a little wrong). At any rate, I had to get back to the house to let the dog out. got there about 0245 and had to get up this am at 0600 to be back at the hospital to meet with the ortho surgeon as she is having surgery today. He is supposed to be top notch according to our DIL that works at the hospital as a doctor's placement project mgr.
On top of all that our son (aforesaid DIL's husband) got T-boned by a ghetto queen on his way home from work as she backed out of one of those pay-day check cashing joints into a six lane main thoroughfare. Fucked up his car good, front fender, passenger door, popped the front tire cracked the rim and fucked up the suspension.
Any how, rant over. Wife is going to be fine and up and motivating in a couple days.
Sometimes shit just comes in droves so I'm waiting for the third shoe to drop
