AR10 trigger pull weight adjustment?

I’m new to ARs. I have installed a Timney Calvin Elite trigger in my REM 700 5R bolt action. REM 700 triggers are adjustable for pull weight with an adjusting screw. In watching videos of AR triggers it looks like a different setup with the pivoting hammer. Is it possible to adjust trigger pull weight without replacing the trigger springs? Or is that the only method of adjustment? I have a Seekins SP10 with a Timney trigger set from factory at 3 lbs. It’s a single stage trigger and it is crisp. I have my Calvin Elite set at 2.5 lbs and if possible would like the AR10 the same.

LaRue MTB 2S vs Geissele SD-C

Scoured the threads and I’m between these two. I want 2 stage good for overall use that will last. I like the tactical and duty options - I’m not competition shooting but I’m on the market for something good for CQB and long range if needed.

Most posts say MTB-2S is best bang for buck but if 171 is not prob would you still say the LaRue over the Geisele?

Right now AR15 discounts has the Larue for 90 and Geisele is 171

Left Hand Sale WTS 6mm Creedmoor rifle

Selling off a near brand new rifle. I had this one built for my local PRS matches while my 6mm GT rifle was being completed, but it finished several months sooner than expected, and I can't keep both. Barreled action is a WTO Caprock action with nitride finish, WTO Switchlug, 26" Bartlein barrel with 1-7.5" twist, Thunderbeast Arms brake, Masterpiece Arms Matrix Pro-II chassis in Midnight Bronze, and a Triggertech Diamond trigger. Rifle will NOT include the bipod, optic, or optic mount. Rifle has exactly 105 rounds down the barrel to complete barrel break-in and checking accuracy. It's a WTO rifle, so I can attest, it shoots AMAZING, as all of their stuff does. Feel free to message with any questions you may have. Asking $3,750 obo, shipped to your FFL.

Rifle Scopes March 5-42 Gen 2 PRS Edition – FML-WBR or FML-MT? Seeking feedback from those who've switched from tree reticles

Hey, fellow shooters, looking for insights from those who’ve transitioned from a Christmas tree-style reticle to something more minimal. I’ve been shooting both centerfire and rimfire for 2 years, and I've done 3 PRS-style events using a tree-ish ZCO MPCT3X, Zeiss ZF-MRi, and Kahles SKMR4+. I'm now considering the March 5-42 Gen 2 PRS Edition, but I'm stuck between the FML-WBR and FML-MT reticles.

From what I gather:
  • FML-WBR is a purpose-built PRS reticle by Brandon Rudge—clean, open-dot design, no top vertical stadia, .2/.5 MIL spacing.
  • FML-MT is a minimalist MIL-style FFP reticle—thin lines, center dot, and seemingly better suited for precision than quick transitions.
Having only used Christmas tree reticles, the theory is that I will gain speed, clarity, and less clutter on target by switching. Would love to hear from anyone who has used both or gone tree → no-tree—especially in the 5-42 March. How does your split time, speed, or hit observation change? Do you miss the tree for fast holdovers, or does simplicity trump the Christmas tree?

Thanks for any thoughts, clips, or mental models!

Does anyone know where Norma puts their lot numbers on there ammunition boxes??

I don't know if this is the right sub to put this in, but I didn't think putting it in reloading would be the right thing, as this is not really about reloading.

So, I had some Norma golden match 143gr 6.5 Creedmoor rounds that were blowing primers. I've used a bunch of the stuff with no issues. My rifle was shooting other manufacture ammo yesterday with no issues. But I had some primers blow in a couple boxes of this Norma ammo. I wanted to check the lot numbers, but I don't see lot numbers anywhere on the box. Am I missing something?? I have emailed the manufacturer to see what they say. Thanks!

Precision Rifle Gear Cheap Garmin Xero mount.

I’ve seen some ridiculous prices for Arca mounts for Garmin or Athlon chronos lately. Knowing that this isn’t some piece of kit that needs to be bombproof, it’s just an accessory mount after all, I gave this one a shot from Amazon. $19 bucks and built like a tank. Does what it needs to do and nothing more. Why on earth would you spend north of $100 for a non essential accessory mount. 🙄

Dillon Super 1050/RL1050/RL1100 Loading

Let's get a dedicated 1050/1100 loading thread going.

I have a fee XL650's with case and Mr.Bulletfeedera and a 550c. Been looking for a 1050/1100 for the last few months for dedicated 5.56 loading with bulletfeeder... I was just about to order a new RL1100 with Mr.Bulletfeeder when I ran into a local deal.

Picked up a great condition Super 1050 setup for 223/5.56 with case feeder, Mr. Bulletfeeder and a second toolhead and 9mm conversion all for $1700. It was too hard to pass that up and go buy a new RL1100 setup the same way was gonna be close to $4k.

I tore it down on the bench today and cleaned it up. Looks great. Ordered an Inline Fabricstion Ultramount and light kit. Have an Armonov bearing kit and spent primer with hose adapter ordered. Got a spare parts kit from Dillon and a few wear items.

What have you don't to your Super 1050's? What must have accessories have you put on it?

7 PRC Hunting Build - Components Check

Morning everyone,

Putting together a theoretical 7PRC all around LR hunting build with the following components and would like your feedback:

Kelbly Prometheus (Long Action)
26" Preferred Barrel Blanks Medium Palma with heavy fluting (approx. 3.9 lbs)
TT Rough Diamond Trigger
McMillan ELR Hunter (Adjustable)
Hawkins Hunter Bottom Metal DBM
Hawkins Hunter Flush Long Magazines
Not sure on muzzle device - either MPA 30 cal brake or suppressor depending on what is available.
Precision Rings - Hawkins or A419
Scope - New 4x24 Razor or the Delta 3.5-21 or the T6XI 3-18

Use case would be for all North American game up to elk in AZ, CO, & WY.

Let me know what you would change or swap out.

Ammo storage

I’m sure this discussion has been beaten to death but I’m not super enthused about storing ammo in metal ammo cans. I am thinking about a more convenient way to store ammo. I came across some husky waterproof and stackable containers. They’re large enough to store the ammo in the cardboard boxes that they came in, which makes it convenient to grab a few boxes of whatever and put them in my range bag. They’re also large enough to store many cardboard boxes of ammo regardless of size so using one container for 9mm, one for 556, one for 6.5, etc would work well. Since the cardboard boxes of ammo can fit nicely in here then match/precision ammo can stay stored nicely.

They also seem like they’ll store nicely.

Here’s a link:

Anyone do something similar? Have any pros/cons? Better suggestions than dumping ammo boxes into 30/50 cal cans?
