I'm a relatively new precision shooter out of NW Montana. I let some questionable friends influence me into getting into shooting precision rifle with a wildcat this year, so I've also jumped headfirst into wildcatting (22 BRA). So I've spent an undiscloseable amount of time and money on it, but it's been awesome! I'll be wrapping up my first full season here in a week or so with the WPR.

I have a Tikka 595 in 223 Remington, my current barrel is a 1:12 Hart using 52-53 grain flat base Berger or Sierra bullets.

I shoot a club match each week requiring 50 rounds, generally I would use RE-15 or N203B and get excellent accuracy.

To speed things up in the loading area, I tried a couple ball powders that I could dump load with a Harrell’s powder measure, W748 and H335. They both meter fine, but my SD’s and ES’s are huge, SD’s 30+ and ES 115+. Accuracy is just aok, but inconsistent. Sometimes I can clean a target, other times it looks like a gathering not a group. I’ve been through different bullets, seating depth changes, primers, powder weight changes and nothing seems to work. I should say I need better than 1/2 MOA in this game, if woodchucks were the quarry, these loads would be fine.

Before I go back to stick powders, are there any Ball powders or one that meters easily that rival accuracy of stick powders?

I've just taked off factory barrel and noticed marks of front lugs surfaces on breech face. Same picture Ive seen on another Rem700 with custom made ss barrel with proper space between. Why it happened even with proper measurments and gunsmithing ? Need more than 0.010 clearance between bolt lugs and breech face ? Or its OK and just barrel/bolt/action flexing under recoil ?

Leica APO-Televid 65 spotting scope, with a Leica 25x–50x wide-angle zoom eyepiece.

I bought this scope in 2017, because I was intending to do a lot of long distance target practice and long distance hunting. But right after I bought it, my health became very bad and I was not able to do any long distance hunting or target practice.
When I first got this scope, I took it outside in my backyard one time to look at things. Other than that it has always been stored in my house. When I first bought this, I kept it set up on a tripod in my living room for about eight months to look out the window at things; and then I stored it away in my gun safe. That is the only use this scope has had.

Looking to upgrade handle/knob over factory and it looks like the most common options are the two options from Anarchy and then the entire assembly from the poster on here unless I am missing something. I have handled the curved adjustable Anarchy option and didnt mind it but thought it was a touch too long. Has anyone used Anarchy’s straight option Premier upgrade and and had any luck with it? I would really like to go this way and put a Badger knob on it to mimic a centerfire but cant find any pictures of anyone doing this?

There was a thread on Scout so I wanted to carry this over. Anymore feed back on this rifle. I've heard very little and frankly the Q isn't selling me on it. It does intrigue me though and seems very innovative.

I just wanted to make a separate post explaining our Non-Locking Elevation (NLE) retrofit option. This is for those members here that may not follow the dedicated ZCO update thread.

We started offering this NLE retrofit option on our products several weeks ago. What this does is disable the locking function of the elevation turret. You do not need to lift the turret to unlock it; the turret will remain in the "down" position and will turn/click as a standard turret would. You still have the Return 2 Zero built into the elevation turret giving about 0.5 Mil below zero. We maintain the locking function on the windage as most competitors elect to hold for windage, so keeping this locked down is important.

We've been getting requests for this option for some time now from many competitors and our engineering staff came out with this option. Dealers can order scopes directly with this option. Current customers can also send in their optic for the retrofit option. We do have a bit of a charge to perform the retrofit but we also go through your scope as a customary inspection and cleaning as necessary. Turn-around time is about a week back to your door.
