SOLD Athlon Ares ETR 3-18x50 Mil in Warne Mountain Tech Rings

Athlon Ares ETR 3-18x50 with Mil reticle mounted in Warne mountain tech rings low with MKM bubble level. This is my second Ares ETR and I picked it up on impulse when I couldn't believe the sale price EuroOptic had them for, but I have more scopes than I have rifle to put them on and don't actually need it. In like new condition; just mounted din rings and taken for one range trip.

Awesome scope that punches well above its price point especially if you pick it up at this price.

$620 shipped for just the scope or $720 shipped with the rings and bubble level.

The Mil version is out of stock and even if you did pick it up at the sale price it cost more than this after you add in tax.

Barnard S heavy (ier) bolt lift

Hi
I got a used Barnard S rifle. Tested it out and seemed fine.
Now, if I close the bolt and lift it, there's just a tiny lift pressure. More or less the same as my other Zermatt rifle. If I close the bolt, pull the trigger, with no round in the chamber of course, the lift is considerably heavy than without pulling the trigger. Is this normal? What causes this?

Thank you

Night Vision Guide Thermal clip-ons, experience?

Anyone here that have experience with Guide’s thermal clip-ons?

More specifically their TB Pro series:

These are starting to trickle into the European market, at a price that is reasonable.

I know it’s not Oasys units, but I wondering how these would stack up against Pulsar units.

Tripod sandbag question

Hey guys, for those of you that run an attached sandbag on top of your tripod like the cole-tac for instance, do you run it with or without a head?

I'm sure it's prob possible run it with a head but it seems like that would be weight for nothing.

Do you really need the ball feature when you have a flexible sandbag?

Can you attach something like this directly to the tripod without a head and is it a good idea?

I have an excellent condition Chris Reeve Umnumzaan with Tanto Magnacut blade. The blade is factory sharp and this was only carried a few times. There are a couple minor snail trails on the lock side, but you can only see them in the right light.

I am the second owner and the lanyard did not come with it. The lanyard pin is included as well as the box, birthday card, cloth, loctite, grease and tools.

Logistics of Organizing a Hunter Match

I’m in the concept stage of planning a match and need some starting points on things that need to be addressed.

It will be a fund raiser as well as a primer for hunting season. So it’ll be simple stages tailored for the local population who isn’t into competing.

What are some logistics I need to take care of as far as legal, liability, etc? Is it even worth doing as a fund raiser once all the things are accounted for?

It would be on private land, not a dedicated range. I know things vary by state, but looking for a general idea.

MST100 Interest?

Alright, Clone Fanatics, here it is, the thread you’ve been waiting for! This is the place to profess your interest in buying a MST100 (Not saying Unertl or USO) scope.

I had a lengthy phone call with John Williams III today regarding the possibility of having a run of scopes made. He is interested in completing the project provided there is commitment for the sale of fifty (50) of them. That commitment will probably be in the form of some kind of deposit.

The production will likely be a hundred (100) units, as machine shops don’t normally care to program machines and gear up to do less than that.

He is going to do some work in the next couple weeks to try to arrive at a price. However, with the cost of materials these days, he estimates that they could cost approximately $4000.00. Keep in mind that time is valuable, and his work to narrow the price of the scope down takes him away from what pays the bills. With that said, like the car sale websites say, no tire-kickers, please. I know that with the price up in the air there will hesitance and a somewhat tentative nature to this, but please be serious when you say you want X number of scopes.

I am not getting paid or compensated in any manner for any of this. I have simply created a thread for you guys to speak up. I’ll tell him what you all say. The way this thread turns out will determine whether the scopes get built or not.

So, have at it.

At a per unit cost of approximately $4000 each, who would buy a newly manufactured MST100 scope?
