For sale: (2) Masterpiece Arms "Custom" Matrix's. These are OG Matrix forends with the Matrix Pro 2 buttstocks. (Same as what Morgun King and Kahl Harmon run..) Both will come with the MPA "teeth" mag well blocker and Steel spigot. They will also come with a vert "2" grip as well as the M-EVG grip. Lastly they'll include all the trigger finger supports and thumb shelf's. One is Tungsten color, the other is FDE. These are both about 98%ish condition, they're like new but have been practiced with and I ran the gray one in a 1 day match so they have slight rail wear in the normal spots. I’ll preface by saying I don’t know hardly anything about
M70s except what I have read here from some members that have them.


Or maybe not even ish? What’s the input of the vintage experts and not so experts on a retro mod style M70?

First with the action. Pre64 or post, does it truly matter if I don’t want a clone correct? If I understand correctly, the post 68 or so models are push feed. Is there any inherent issues with that platform that I haven’t see or heard about?
Next is the barrel/caliber. I want it done in 308, somewhere along the lines of 20-22 inches. I want it threaded with a seamless (or seamless as possible) thread protector. I would ideally like an iron sight mount on the barrel as well.
Scope: Do the barrel block mounted Unertls impact accuracy so much that it would negate using a nice modern barrel blank, say bartlein or something along those lines. I’m not partial to either style, both are acceptable for me, but the older style is a little more interesting to me.
And before we get the “why” in the way. Simply because I can is why, I like different. Besides pissing off the purists, what am I missing that would make this build not perform as it should.

Scope - Tangent Theta 525 Gen3XR reticle **missing rear tenebrex cap from a match couple years ago** has box/papers/kill flash ect.

I bought this shotgun new this summer and have taken it to the clays course twice and shot maybe 200 rounds through it. It’s a amazing shotgun but clays just isn’t my thing and outside of that this thing does nothing my 20ga 870 doesn’t except look pretty and I’ve got a girlfriend for that.

It’s got a small ding in the wood on the bottom of the forend but that’s really it unless I’m missing anything. I did file and polish the cross pin that holds the safety in the receiver so that it’s smooth and you can actually manipulate it since all of these 680’s come with crazy stiff and rough feeling safeties from the factory for some reason.

It will come in its original box, original plastic case with all factory paperwork and chokes. I also purchased a Carlsons trap pack (LM, M, IM chokes) and installed two of them but haven’t shot it since.

I’m just over $3550 into it after tax and the choke set. Will sell for $3000 shipped to your FFL. No sales to CA or any other PITA states where I have to do anything more than box it up and ship it to the address on your FFL’s license. Payment via Zelle or USPS MO. Can do a FTF in the Tampa area to a FL resident with CCW or LE creds and knock a little off for shipping as well.

For the pre-14 AI AX338 rifle (no quick barrel change), does its barrel have M27 tenon thread (as for AI start action) or M30 (as for AXMC/AXSR)?

The reason I ask is that Proof Research makes AU 300 Normal barrel with M27 thread. If not for pre-14 AX338, I wonder what model it is for.
