Suppressors Form 4 wait time

Thought I'd check here for average wait times, wish I didn't because things look bleak. I'll add to the misery.
Form 4 Trust

Check Cashed 8/18/21

I called ATF to check on things in late August and got the still pending reply. I'm not getting any younger and I've paid the tax stamp and have nothing to show for it. Got in touch with my congressman on 8-2-2022 and gave them all the info requested so they could contact ATF or whomever on my behalf. As of 9-20-22 nothing. I'll be calling my Senator tomorrow.

I don't think there is anyone more impatient on the Hide than me. So when my efile hit four months I hesitatingly contacted my Representative. At first I thought, people have been waiting 1+ years, maybe it's just the way it is and I need to just wait it out. But then I thought this shit should not take more than a week tops. And by not putting pressure on the ATF, we are complicit in their inexcusable delays. So I contacted my Rep and they contacted the ATF. My Rep then contacted the FBI to check on my NICS status. I also used the email you provided to contact the FBI. Within a week I received my approval. Was it a coincidence? Maybe, but I seriously doubt it.

The Turbo K is awesome, great choice, it was actually on our Top 5 5.56 suppressors for 2022 list.
You can't go wrong with YHM, they make awesome products, the Resonator R2 has a near-perfect rating.
We don't get ETA's on restocking, but you can sign up for the notification and it will email you once they come in, or you could try calling your local Powered by Silencer Shop Dealers, they may have some in their inventory. What host are you thinking about the TBAC for?

Update with some good news, something must have worked my status is now Approved.

.338 Lapua on a Sako TRG-42 for the TBAC.

I might look at the resonator R2 for one of my AR10 platforms.

Well maybe I'm getting close...my check cashed 10/21/21. Guess it just depends on the agent get yours. Some work, some just milk the pay check.

Just called to check on these. 8/20/21 application was approved on 9/20/22. They said “Allow forty five days to receive the approved stamp” I know the postal service sucks but damn…

This was filed as a paper application before eform 4s were accepted. That being said you have to have the approved forms in hand to possess the item. If your item was filed as an eform 4 you will receive an approval email and can then go pick up your item.

Getting impatient... Feel like a starving carnivorous predator salivating at a steak in a glass cage you can't get.
Waiting on Silencer Central to get paperwork. I guess?? I know the ATF has 45 days, but still!

What exactly do you email your representative when doing this? You can also PM me as well if you want. I would like to have a reference for when I hit the 4 month mark next month.

Im not the person you quoted, but I filled out their contact us form on their website. A staffer contacted me with a form I needed to fill out that authorized them to make an inquiry on my behalf. It’s been over 2 weeks since they sent it to the atf and they haven’t heard anything back. I followed up with the staffer yesterday and they were following up with them on it again.

Like someone mentioned, go to your Reps website and they should have a form you can fill out online requesting assistance with a government agency. They will then send you some forms you'll need to fill out and send back. I was told the ATF usually will respond to them within 10 business days. That's how it went for me at least.

You are correct, @Diesel79. For eForm's you can pick up the suppressor once you get the approval email, for paper forms the ATF mails the approved form to your dealer, this takes up to 45 days. - Chase

I'm over 300 days on my form 4 now (11/22/22). I reached out to my rep and got a response in less than 24 hours from the ATF. The FBI ran my background check on 8/25 and passed the "proceed" on to the ATF. They said the application is now being passed to an examiner. I wish we had more data points for the time between FBI "proceed" and approval.

Same as me. Purchased 10/21, contacted rep a couple of weeks ago, got response last week saying background proceeded 8/24/22. Was hoping to have for the first of October so Frank and Marc won’t call me uncivilized, but not looking good.

So at what point are we going to be able to get approved for one and then each subsequent suppressor is approved. Btw I’m still over 550 days, I’m glad some of you guys are actually seeing yours come through.
