Okay Frenchmen are on strike and burning their shit - whats new?

Well this time its opposition to a forced green agenda.

No they are not willing to pay for a minorities desire to adopt a non fossil fuel existence.

    Follow this.

Its not your standard hissy fit to extend the August vacation into September.

I admire their ability to stand up to that commie fuck, Marcon.
I resent how they display their hatred of government towards their fellow man, burning down and destroying their homes and property.

pmclaine, I've been watching this for a few days with a good deal of interest, and wondering where the conclusion lies. I am hoping (sort of) for a reenactment of 14 July 1789.

Apparently they're gonna dial it up a notch. This is making the rounds over there according to some folks in France.

    English translation:
This is a message for the population: It is the calm before the storm!!! Make provisions: fuel, food, medicines!!!
We are going to block everything starting from the 10th of December. We will only stop once what we are asking is implemented. We have had enough of being taken for fools.
We want to live, and not just survive.
Come with us on the 10th of December. No school, no government services open for business. We will block all entries and exits to airports, supermarkets, offices etc..
We are alerting the population. Come with us on the blockades or stay at home. We yellow jackets are non violent, but we will not be satisfied with pretty words. We want acts!

All together the 10th of December!!!

I've been watching this and contemplated a post similar to yours P.
I have to conclude that our Illustrious leader is having a greater effect in Europe than we've been
    lead to believe.
Maybe we could learn something from their commitment and tactics.

I didn't realize they are all forced to buy and keep those yellow vests in their cars - so safe!
It'd be bad enough if it were a law passed by the French General Assembly; but it's worse because it's a bureaucratic mandate from Brussels.

The one area where they are not hypocrites is that 70% of France's electricity is nuclear. They also reprocess spent fuel rods back into fuel (instead of holding them in a lake and then encasing them in concrete, like we do), so essentially 70% of their power is truly 0 waste. In this one respect they are actually effectively reducing pollution.

This is one of the areas where our own enviroreligionists expose themselves as being completely intellectually bankrupt. They would be the biggest advocates for fission power there were if it were anything more than emotional belief that drove them. They're more like Luddites.

    France is already pretty green.

Squeezing more and more is getting less return for investment.

The people are tired of investing.

The fuel rod issue is one Ive never understood about how we handle ours.

If its still radioactive after its "spent" than why cant it be reprocessed to create more steam?

The only reason we handle our shit the way we do is by design to end doing it at all.

"We must endanger the environment in order to save it!"...........the standard mantra of the Green Party because the Green Party isn't about ensuring a clean environment its about controlling you.

It’s because when you reprocess the fuel it has the “potential” to be used for nuclear warheads.

    Luddites, we are.

Yes I could see that being an issue but facts are any nuclear material is potentially a weapon and truth be told its more likely to be used as a dirty bomb than as an actual nuclear bomb. Might as well have it making steam. Guessing this material would be safer in one of our plants than it is the Ne "Franceistan" anyway.

Thank you for the answer I really didn't know the issue.

If we used plutonium in reactors, we would get more power per rod than uranium.

More power in their rods and more balls than us.......

Guess Im going to have to stop using that old chestnut about the unused MAS49 only being dropped once.

Is that really why we don't reprocess, "because it can be used in a warhead"? We have tons of warheads. I don't understand the argument, and think it's retarded if true. It seems more likely that we don't have a reactor that could utilize the reprocessed fuel (is there is difference?) rather than this idiotic concern.

At present we let the rods "cool" in pools for up to 20 years before we put them in steel and concrete "Dry Casks" and stack them on a concrete pad near the reactor till Ragnarök. This has to be the worst and stupidest solution possible. The only thing you can recommend about it is that this "out of sight, out of mind", solution has thus far caused no problems.

I was working for a construction company when we got a call to do some work about three hours away in the state (MA) . I am very familiar with the area the work was needed so I volunteered to make the drive.

Anyway our work was related to the decommissioning of the nuke plant, Yankee Atomic, on the VT/MA line.

We had to construct a pad next to the rail line at the mouth of the Hoosic Tunnel so that the core of the reactor could be trucked out. It was a big deal in that very rural mountain area.

Anyway they trucked out the reactor with what was probably a very cool truck rig.

For awhile afterwards I remember there being State Police at the shell of a plant guarding the facility on OT. Guessing they were watching those concrete casks.

Wonder if any final disposition has occurred with the waste or does it just stay there forever.

    Don't think Yucca Mtn exists.

First of all, regarding the 'spent rods' and whatnot.... it is my opinion of "mash 'em up and spend 'em again", because where else are we going to get the Depleted Uranium for our bullet cores. The idiots in the West keep on complaining about 'lead this' and 'lead that'.... so to hell with 'em all,,, we'll go to Depleted Uranium cores in our bullets, all around.

Win/Win/Glow, right? Get's rid of the 'spent rods' AND it eliminates the terribly nasty 'lead' problem that is such a problem and creating so much misery, chaos, emotional turmoil, and offensive scents.

The world will then be a MUCH better place, right?

From my perspective the eu will eventually fail. Italy and the UK will start the slow progression. The collapse will be based on economic and immigration issues. I hope that Americans can learn form the events in France and get their stuff together. If the socialist party continues their expansion the civil war in the USA will come sooner than later.

Wish we had a Congress that had the balls to force publication of the shit they do in our name........
    I'm with you.
I am also highly doubtful that anything condemning will see the light of day.
After a successful vote to leave the EU their government has pulled every dirty trick known to man to reverse the vote.

I didn't see the vid, but I did see where there was one a group of them chanting "Trump!, Trump!, Trump!"........;)

Maybe about now the French are starting to realize that voting for that EU Puppet was a big mistake and they should have voted for the true French Patriot woman who all the communists got together to beat.

Playing the EU anthem when that puppet won instead of the French anthem should have told the people right then and there what they just did.

Le Pen would have been stifled just like Trump but a step in the right direction.

I saw the "Trump" stuff too. I didn't want Trump but am pleased with a lot of what he has done. I think "Trump populism" is not unnoticed and is embraced in ways we don't consider. Like say Merry Christmas to atheists, I derive joy from seeing the MSM communists go apoplectic on a daily basis over him. In my opinion, the constant attacks are only because he draws the messenging and power away from them. Can't have that...
As a direct descendant of William the Conqueror and Fulk, Count of Anjou, (Normans), I hope the French do have yet another Revolution and rid themselves of the locusts, I mean globalist communist bastards that have been infecting the country since Petain. Far too long have I (perhaps rightly?) had to put up with the French surrender monkey jokes.
They, the yellow vests, are showing us here, the shade throwers, a thing or two about standing up and having balls. The kind I do not see here in America on the right.
