Suppressors Form 4 wait time

They did that to my buddy's last 2 cans( he just got them a month ago). 1 was approved 3 months before his 2nd and they waited to ship both stamps until the 2nd was approved. But I have also heard of other guys getting them seperate. Who knows.....

I recently had two cans on the same form 4. both were approved on same day and stamps delivered to SOT on the same day. while that would "make sense" it seems frequent to have a scenario like you describe where multiple cans on same form 4 take different times. yay govt.

Called ATF today just to check and see out of curiosity, and she looked up my 3 that were done 5 days apart. They're still "Pending" of course. She said that lately she's been seeing an average of 7 months from the cash date for ones around my time frame. But when I bought mine, the guy at the SOT said he was seeing 4-5 from date of cash. So... That sucks. I was hoping to have them by my birthday, but looks like it will be a couple months after that...Knowing my luck. Oh well... 😐

They told me the same thing...7 month average and still pending, a week later my FFL called to tell me they had my stamp.

Anybody else nervous that Bidens going to pass legislation that keeps us from getting our already paid for suppressors that are in nfa jail?
I've posed this question to several people in the industry, and most all have the same response... "They're already so heavily regulated, plus the government loves that $200 tax per item, I doubt they will worry with NFA items for now..."

And I agree with their responses. The government loves stealing that tax money from us, and with record numbers of NFA items and suppressors and stamps being purchased, I doubt those greedy MF'ers will stop that gravy-train... Plus, like the other point mentioned, they're so heavily regulated and "registered" that I doubt they'll even worry about it...At least for now.

I doubt it. To my knowledge he hasn't talked about going after nfa items, just putting more things on the nfa
Exactly...Because that would be a metric shit tonne more tax revenue for them if everything was a $200 stamp. Plus, that's a backdoor to registration, if everything has to be registered as an NFA item. Which as we ALL should know from history (if you paid attention in that class), has ALWAYS led to confiscation. They're evil geniuses, and stupid politicians keep voluntarily giving up their (and OUR) rights so Big Brother will safe them... 🙄🙄🙄

Really my fear is they nuke the filibuster. let some of these idiot dems write up the assault rifle ban. and silencers are scary. could definitely see them putting them on it. I hear your argument about the tax revenue, and typically would make sense. but just now they are printing dollars to the tune of trillions w/ impunity. and ol uncle joe thinks he can spend whatever he wants because hell just raise the taxes. hes said it. whats a couple billion from nfa items when they can just print millions of millions. and no one stops them.

Dead air sand man & dead air mask

E filed through SilencerShop single shot trust

Purchased: 12/15/20

Delivered to my dealer: 1/13/21

Stamp cashed: 3/4/21

I’m assuming 2 more months...
I would think you are gonna be like 4 months or so from time of check being cashed (best case scenario). I could be wrong but that is what I am seeing. The 4-5 month norm doesn't account for delivering a can to a dealer its all based on paperwork times.

My check was cashed 3/5/21, not expecting anything for 6 months minimum.

Almost same as me. Mine was cashed on 9/28 and approved somewhere in early to mid Feb. We got some really good timing.
Hope I am as lucky, I am waiting on two stamps cashed from 10/28. Looks like I am right at the cusp of either being one of the lucky ones or having to wait until mid summer. Time will tell! Going to call this week to check on status.

Someone give me a good reason it should take so long ?

Buy a handgun with Instant check and out the door you go, why should this be any different.
Because politicians think suppressors are scary tools used by assassins 😆

Honestly there is no reason to regulate them on the nfa, they protect hearing of shooters and observers. But let's not get into that long discussion on this thread....

1 word... Government.

Self-explanatory once you understand how the over-bloated bureaucracy works. We can ALL pass BGC's left and right. Hell, I've bought more guns in the last 6 month than I have in the last 5 years combined. But that doesn't mean anything. It means as long as your paperwork is in order, you will be approved. But as to when? Shit... Your guess is as good as anyone's. They take their sweet-ass time, and don't get in any hurry.

Three of mine were cashed 12/29 & 12/31... I'm hoping for a month (or less), but 2 at the most. My 4th hasn't even been sent-off to the SOT from SS yet, I know the Form 3 transfer was approved, but that's the last update from 3/19... I called today, she said they would be sending my can out either today or tomorrow. They can't even complete and send off my Form 4 until the Form 3 transfer to my SOT is complete... I know Silencer Shop is busy, but 10+ days to ship a damn can out? Come on... Let's get this ball rolling! It takes long enough as it is! Let's not add extra time to the already grueling process.

Bummer! Called today and Melissa told me mine is still pending. She sounds like a real B too. There was no hold time though, that was nice.
Ya man, some of the gals who answer the phones are not at all friendly....not sure I would be either if that’s all I did was punch serial numbers into a computer to check statuses all day haha

Sucks though man, turn around times are going back up. They were down to 5-6 months last summer, sounds like they are moving closer to 7-8 months now. All these guys getting em back in 5 months just have more 4 leaf clovers in their front yards I guess

Well, my Sandman-S just arrived at the SOT about 3 hours ago... I guess now the wait begins because my Form 4 will be sent off to the ATF...

I know I'll be shooting this weekend at the range (my SOT has a range), so I get to have conjugal visits with my cans. 👍🏼
