OK, I've tried the search and the advanced search and I'm just not getting it....Can some please tell me where I can find the ballistics and info on this ammo? I haven't found it on the Black Hills sight.....I know it's out there somewhere. Thanks.
Re: Deer Cam Pic's Good job on the pics also I like your ability to let these walk. With other hunters in the area I'd be tempted to take one (probably the last one) ! Thanks for sharing.
Re: sightron scopes I have an older S2 model 4-16x42AO and I love that scope. Like the others have said, it's somewhat of a sleeper. The glass is excellent and it tracks well. Personally I don't think you can go wrong with Sightron.
I have a Rem LTR 308 with a 1:12 twist 20" bbl. what is the optimum bullet weight to go with this combo? Also any recommendations for ammo for deer season? Thanks
Re: how many lefties use a RH bolt rifle This lefty shoots righty. I was taught that way as a kid so it seems somewhat natural. I am left eye dominant, but I guess that has been overcome. I can and do occasionally shoot left handed (when necessary)and have killed 6 or 7 deer left handed. Not...
Re: Best place for Nightforce? Alex at Euro is the man. I got his info on Long Range Hunting about 1 1/2 yrs ago and called him up about a scope for a hunting rifle. I was a little unsure about the scope. He sent it to me and said to check it out (no money changed hands), and told me to...
Re: 1 or 2 piece base for Rem SA? +1 for the one piece. I've always used 2 pc. bases in the past. When I finally decided to throw down some serious money on a couple of scopes I started looking for info and opinions on 1 pc. or 2 pc. bases. No one could give any good reason to use a 2 pc. I...
Re: Question for NXS 3.5-15 x 50 F1 owners I have been a Leupold "fan" for quite some time, and have them on most all my rifles. I'm a hunter and am really just getting started in the long range area. I bought myself a NF 3.5-15x50 with the NPR2 reticle for my Rem. LTR 308. Needless to say...
Does anyone besides me own one of these or have access to shooting one? It is my understanding that this gun was what is now their "CQB". I have owned quite a few .45's over the years and have NEVER shot one or seen one shot that was anywhere near as accurate as mine is! It is trully amazing...
Re: triggers and trigger jobs? My $.02 worth, I personally think having a good trigger job done on a rifle, especially a new one is some of the best $ that can be spent on a rifle. I've had one done on every rifle I own except a Kimber, and they come with it already done at the factory. Once...
Re: NF scopes. What makes them superior?? My 2 cents worth. I own a vari x III 4.5-14x50. vari x III 3.5-10x40, and and an "antique" vari x II 3-9x40 (all 1" tubes). i bought the vari x III's off SWFA sample list for a steal. I have never had any issues with them and have shot hog(s) while...
Re: Nighforce Reticle blurry Just tried Boone's trick listed above with my "brand new" NF NP-R2 3.5-15x50. I didn't use a white poster board but did use the neighbors off white brick on the side of their houe. (the scope isn't mounted yet, don't worry). Even going about this "half assed" I...
Re: scope for my hunting rifle Looks like you have plenty of opinions here but I'll add my 2 cents worth. I put a vari-x III (4.5-15x50) on my Kimber 8400 in 300 WSM. I actually shot a hog on opening morning of deer season at 125 yds in total darkness with this gun/scope. It was easily 45+...
Re: opinions ought on ADM (American Defense Manu. ring Thanks for the input guys. One thing about "the hide", there is never a shortage of opinions..!!! The best part though is that most of them come from experience and yrs. of knowledge and are for the most part correct. I think I'll...
