    Michael, I have read and re-read this thread. Is your purpose to get Berger to hire you for BC testing of their products? I really don't understand where you are coming from. If you have the ability to measure BC's do so, then shoot!

    My suggestion is to take the gun to a 'smith for further eval. I have always thought the Wylde chamber was good for up to 62gr bullets at mag length. I can't imagine the ogive of a tipped 55 being closer than that. Again, wait and see if someone else answers as my knowledge is limited. Please...

    Maybe someone with more experience will chime in later. Here are my thoughts. Separate the upper/lower remove BCG and drop a round in the barrel. It should go fully in. No marks on the bullet when removed. It does have marks, throat not long enough. No marks? Check bullet tension as bullet...

    BCP could be on to something here, "I've had a couple scopes take a shit and that's how it started". I think you know it too. My test is to give the suspect a sharp rap over the turrets. if it moves the scope is sticky inside. Leupold has good CS.

    How rough is this load going to be long term on my barrel?

    IMHO, you are not pushing the '06 anywhere near the pressures of say, a hot .243. Some say 1000-1500 rnds for a hot .243. I would have to think you are going to be double that as long as you don't shoot too fast. You know, over heat the barrel by repeated shots without cooling, machine gun style.

    LR338nut, I was just reading this and wondered about the neck turning. Good find. Seems like the folk over at 6mmbr do a lot of wildcatting and I thought I remembered neck turning was important. The O-ring spacer is good too.
