Rifle Scopes Setting up a FFP rifle scope - A simple PSA on Diopters

So there are some fun things to comment on, hopefully the original commenters inside the copy/paste section come back. 1) The process is the same whether or not you have parallax adjustment, the distance away from your blank background does not matter. All that matters is that there is no...

    Do you believe this target?

I miss when reading comprehension was more prevalent on forums. I'm assuming those who said they've never seen someone shoot the same target at multiple distances has shot a range with pits. Janky target and overall jankiness leads me to guess that maybe they have a large open space for...

    Gunsmithing AR 15 gas block

An fsp is going to be much more complex than a simple gas block. Best case is to find someone local to do it for you. Where are you located?

    "CR-MOD 1" A Weapon Review 300 blackout suppressed.

Favorite part about this is that when I went to Chad to barrel my 40XB RF he sent me to Greg who in turn got me a MullerWorks barrel for that project. Cool to see another rifle with a similar unusual pedigree.

    Daniel Defense Mk12, worth it?

My guess would be trigger control issues hidden by the SSA.

    Daniel Defense Mk12, worth it?

Or Centurion Arms for a MK12 upper!

    Overtorquers Anonymous

We were setting up a vacuum chamber and tubing in our lab where we were connecting 2" diameter copper fixtures to each other with Teflon tape. Guy who designed it said not to skimp on the tape and when I started to tighten the fixture and clock it right there was way too much resistance. He...

Who do you use? For God's sake I hope you don't say USPS, lol.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Glock OD green frame problems?

This is very true, but some are affected more than others, and some polymers are (near) completely UV resistant. They have been getting better each year (on an industry scale, not talking about Glock specifically), so significantly older polymer guns may be more likely to have issues, but the...

    AR triggers

The CMC triggers will feel a lot more like a bolt gun trigger than Geissele's (still great triggers), as the CMC's are single stage, light, and super smooth. They come in curved and flat bows from 3-7lbs in 1 or .5 lb increments, can't remember which. But, they are so smooth that the 3lb doesn't...

Round 5 100 yard challenge - suggestions needed.

How about the 10 rounds/10 dots, but you wager the size dot. I.e. 1 moa dots, 1/2 moa dots, etc. Know your poi limits.

    SPR Build, help

You can get the contract barrels from Centurion Arms or High Caliber Sales, they shoot lights out. Douglass blanks turned by CLE if I'm not mistaken. And adjustable gas block may be a good idea.

    USMC XM-3 Rifle

While it was a good joke, it was made earlier. Still deserved that one though.

Building my 1st AR15. SPR-ish gun. Update.. Looking for a trigger now?

The CMC triggers are gtg. They'll replace my Geissele's at some point when I'm not an indentured researcher.

Best performaing MK262-like ammo? Hornady, black hills, or others?

I run the same as Redmanss, and I had similar results, only that the SWA did consistently better than everything else, usually closer to .5 with plenty groups at about .25. Then again, I haven't really given the brown box contract MK262 MOD0 a fair chance, as I was shooting better when I shot...

    USMC XM-3 Rifle

You do realize that the internet you used to post that is a result of a (D)ARPA program? They do eat up a lot of money, but it isn't cheap learning new things, and still probably cheaper than simply fielding things without researching them *cough* M110 *cough*. DARPA actually runs pretty lean...

    Rifle Scopes Why No Elcans!!

My understanding is that the majority of the issues came from use on .308 SCARs that beat optics of all kinds to death. That said, they supposedly failed more often than other optics, and that the newer versions fixed some of these issues. Still, there are better quality optics available, and at...

    Another AR Advice

You have to admire the use of a service rifle for 3 gun, that's just awesome. I'm not the most knowledgeable, but if you're running a 16" barrel, any standard receiver extension/buffer combo should work (carbine tube/carbine buffer, rifle buffer/rifle tube). It sounds like you already have a...

First Kryptek attempt....jury is still out

Personally, the more subtle pattern you achieved looks better than what Kryptek is "supposed" to look like. I like the rattle can style jobs best, and the decrease in the amount of outlining looks really good to me.
