I bought a new GPS... Mistake?

Good choice. You'll be happy with it.

POLL - Most COMPLETE ballistics app

I use Applied Ballistics and find it very good. Very similar to Shooter due to the same developer, but added things I like by showing MV, zero, height, stuff I occasionally modify on my loads in small text below the load profiles, especially useful if I forget to modify my load values between...

Suppressors 22 lr AR Upper, Suppressor/Subsonic Reliable

Thank you all for your input. I researched more and saw that several had to modify their triggers to fire subsonics, which may or may not be true for some of you, but I was unwilling to do that on my lower. Therefore I reconsidered and bought the SW M&P 15-22. Although it is definitely more...

I bought a new GPS... Mistake?

Get a touch screen Garmin. I switched to the Montana 650t last year and it is much easier to use than any other I have had. https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/on-the-trail/handhelds/touchscreen/cOnTheTrail-cHandheld-atFILTER_FEATURE_TOUCHSCREEN_01-p1.html

AK-74 vs. Brown Bear outside of Anchorage

I don't know, I got to fire my friend's and I surprised myself how well I did with it, at least offhand shooting. You can pull against the sling and the foregrip adds a lot of stability vs. handgun. Probably wouldn't make that much difference with the 30 rounds that would fly toward the bear...

Suppressors 22 lr AR Upper, Suppressor/Subsonic Reliable

Don't spend much time with the dip. I was a huge dumbass with it and soaked my entire sparrow in it for a long time, ended up etching the exterior. I now use Hoppes and scrape--works fine for me. I wouldn't try electrolysis unless you are sure it will not hurt it and you NEED to. I don't...

Interesting options here. Keep the feedback coming guys, especially personal experiences positive or negative, I really appreciate it.

    Suppressors QD v. Tread-on Suppressors

Oh, careful not to cross-thread. I think I would invest in a thread protector if I were to get a thread-on in the future. Distant future from the looks of the Form 4 wait times.

    Suppressors QD v. Tread-on Suppressors

20-20 hindsight I would have gone with thread-on. My AAC 762-SDN-6 is a QD and I think I may be having trouble maintaining a good mount, seems to drop occasionally. Or I could just suck, but I advise thread-on...and yes, you just screw it on hand tight. Not too tight, not too loose...check it...

Suppressors 22 lr AR Upper, Suppressor/Subsonic Reliable

Thanks for the feedback, guys. As for your question Altnews, there will be no baffle strikes BUT 22 lr creates lead vapor deposits that attach to the baffles. Thus the need to regularly disassemble 22 suppressors to clean out the lead. You should see my Sparrow after a couple thousand...

Suppressors 22 lr AR Upper, Suppressor/Subsonic Reliable

I've decided to get an 22 lr conversion upper for my AR-15. I practice with my 22 bolt action regularly for precision practice, but I have been having so much fun with the AR-15 I bought last year I want to practice cheapish with it (as long as my ammo holds out, anyway.) I almost ordered the...

Rifle Scopes Best mil/mil low light scope

Long story short, aim for better coatings for greater light transmission more than huge aperture. Edit: Another thing before I shut the hell up. Binoculars will be much better for target identification with the two tubes, higher mag/aperture combos (10x50 for example...I use 11x80 though :D)...

Rifle Scopes Best mil/mil low light scope

This is true. Divide the aperture by the magnification, that's the exit pupil. Aim for 7 mm. For instance, I can use my 32 mm scope up to about 4.5x. A bigger aperture will get you more light IF you magnify up to the appropriate exit pupil. But assuming glass transmission is equal, my 32 mm...

    Suppressors When its over?

I can only think with the government going the way it is, obtaining NFA items will only get tougher. Hopefully the changes won't be retroactive, but I'd advise filing now.

Rifle Scopes Vortex Viper PST alternatives

The 6-24 is better glass but doesn't work great for hunting, if that applies. I keep it on 24 most of the time for target shooting. But I've moved if off and put the 2.5-10x32 on for this year's deer season for good reason. There's another option for you, the Vortex PST 2.5-10x32 FFP is...

Suppressors Need help with first 7.62 suppressor purchase.

You could use a 1/2x28 to 5/8x24 thread adapter for QD attachments that don't have 1/2x28, or thread-ons. Thread Adapters

    Vehicle Armor NYC Edition *Video*

Yeah, no car armored window can take repeated hits to the same area, even the President's limo. They're mainly designed to allow time for the drivers to escape the scene. Hopefully over a few motorcycles in the process. This would have definitely helped.

Cerakote hurts resale value. Er, guess that doesn't matter. I don't know, wouldn't hurt to have options.

Rifle Scopes Vortex New Scope Release Schedule

Isn't brown better to match the environment anyway? I don't know, maybe it is better to match the evil black rifles. Got to be consistent, and black is a slimming color. For the Razor's weight problem, you know.
