Re: check A gun trust doesn't need a bank account unless it is going to engage in many transactions making an account practicable. I have purchased most of my suppressors with a personal credit card for use in corporations and gun trusts which I have set up. Marty Seidler San Antonio Arms...
Re: What fits my needs for a 22lr can? I have used a Silencerco Sparrow on my American 180 machine gun firing thousands of rounds in a short period of time. It is easy to clean. SRT arms made me a custom suppressor for the American 180 which knocks down quickly and is also easy to clean...
Re: 45 host My Osprey runs great with my Sig tac ops 45. I will picking up an HK USP tactical tomorrow in San Antonio which I ordered last year. HK was having trouble finding barrels. Since the Sig is a 1911 the mags hold less but the grip is far more comfortable. If you have small hands...
Re: .22LR suppressor SRT Cheyenne XL or XXL and Thompson Machine are quieter on Ruger Mark II than the Sparrow. The Sparrow and Thompson Machine suppressors break down for cleaning and have a uni-baffle stack. Some suppressors are quieter than others on different .22 pistols with the same...
Re: What solution for ultrasonic cleaning? I use a mixture of simple green and distilled water in my ultrasonic cleaner. Cleans m-16 bolt carriers and m-37 machine gun bolts well. Marty Seidler www.guntrustlawyer.net
Re: 22lr pistol host suggestions I use my Sparrow on a Sig mosquito and Ruger .22. It also works great on my American 180 Machine gun. The Sparrow is full auto rated. It smokes a bit after sustained full auto fire. issc m22 Austrian .22 with threaded barrel is a cheapo Glock polymer look...
Re: i don't think he is gonna sign Setting up a gun trust is the most efficient way to circumvent the CLEO sign off requirements. The trust should be drafted by a competent lawyer licensed to practice in your state. In a recent bankruptcy case here in San Antonio, Judge Leif M. Clark found...
Re: Form 4 question You must pick out the suppressor and purchase it before filling out the form 4 since the form requests the details on the suppressor including its description and serial number. Your dealer will fill out the front of the form. Sellers and dealers will require cash up...
Re: Worth suppressing a .45 ACP pistol? I bought a Gemtech Blackside and a B & T Impulse II both in .45 to fit a Colt 1991 (officer's model). Both cans were extremely noisy and did not perform as intended dry. Suppression shooting them wet was superior but messy. The B & T Impulse II on my...
Re: Another TRUST question Trustees should not need to sign an NFA trust unless the trust has some provision providing for their acceptance of appointment.
Re: 10.5" Barrel suggestions. Register the barrel length on your Form 1 as short as possible. I have registered some as short as 4" in but most 6" to provide for .22 suppressed uppers and 9mm uppers. The rule of thumb is the shorter the better. You can always use an upper with a longer barrel.
Re: User-serviceable 5.56mm can? Check out Mike Klos' Triple x line of suppressors. They are sealed units but are quite economical. I am not sure whether he still makes them. I have several for my personal use in .223 and 9mm. They last for years and are well built. I have never cleaned one...
Re: Form 4 wait time My last few transfers over the past year for suppressors and machine guns whether to dealers, individuals, trusts or corps. have almost uniformly run 4 months. Just get used to the wait!!! Marty Seidler San Antonio Arms Co. www.guntrustlawyer.net
Re: sparrow silencer owners I just sent in my form 4 for a Sparrow. The examiners for my SOT in Texas having been taking almost 4 months to the day. Marty Seidler San Antoni, Texas www.guntrustlawyer.net
Re: Another TRUST question Your trust should include trustees and successor trustees. If the trust does not mention a trustee there is no one to administer the trust and it may not be valid. Marty Seidler www.guntrustlawyer.net
Re: $600 to have a trust drawn up? Most states don't require trusts to be registered. At least one trustee should be a resident of the state in which the Trust is founded. Yes in Texas there can be trustees of the same trust located in various states. Marty Seidler www.guntrustlawyer.net
