Re: Falcon menace vs nikon monarch I think you guys have gotten off the OP's question. Still great information and opinions, just not necessarily helping with the question anymore. I think I've decided to try a Falcon now though. I don't plan on having the scope for a real long time...
Re: 6-24-50 scope too big? Not too big at all. One of the most popular models of scopes comes in 6x24, the Viper PST. Like Tikka said just turn it down if you see mirage.
Re: Shooting from a bench/prone I use the 6"-9" also. I don't usually shoot from un-even surfaces and I hardly ever adjust it. I went with harris too, maybe not quite an atlas, but it works great for me. I'm assuming from bench will be flat and prone will likely be flat and you won't need to...
Re: Bushnell 5x15 Tactical?? I was under the impression that all of bushnells tactical scopes were 1/4 moa. On the bushnell site it says .1 mil, but on any other site I found the scope on it says 1/4 moa. I would definitely get it if it were mil/mil. I have the chance to buy one of these...
I'm looking at this scope as my first long range scope. I know it isn't mil/mil which would be nice, but I think I can live without mil/mil. Plus, my spotting scope isn't mildot so my spotter wouldn't be able to tell me in mils if I don't see where my bullets hits anyhow, right? This seems...

Re: Flinching by closing the shooting eye If you mean you flinch when shooting with one eye closed, then try shooting a gun with no recoil, like a .22, and once you're not flinching at all anymore go back to your bigger rifle.
