Howdy all.

I ran a search and came up empty for any reviews/feedback on the Bushmaster Custom Sniper rifle.

It's supposedly a gussied up Remmy 700 with some (at least prior) marketing connection to the Chandler brothers, IIRC.

Yes, I'm aware Bushmaster isn't exactly a top-shelf name in the carbine world, and I'm pretty sure Cerberus has done a lot to screw up Remington's QC ... but was wondering if anyone had handled and shot one of these.

Thanks much.

Yes, they are the same rifle.
I am seriously considering that stock when I have a build done (if ever).

The stock in question is a bell and carlson, it is called the BCS 1000 (Bushmaster Counter Sniper), it was a contract with bushmaster, they are available on chandlers's site, though he overcharges for them.

When Cerebus bought out Rem and Bushmaster, they moved the bolt gun production for this rifle to Rem Custom Shop.

I have actually shot this rifle quite a bit. (40X TDR)

Great shooter, was able to hold easy 1/2 MOA 5+ shot groups at 100 yards. Very smooth shooter. When Norm was making the rifles for Remington, they were substantially cheaper than they are now. Great shooter, even though they are nearly $3000 now (REM TDR). The BCS1000 stock is decent, similar to the HS Precision. It's a Freedom Group cross-marketing affair I'm sure. Curious how they got price down for a similarly equipped rifle.

Don't mean to digress, but here is an interesting link to a comparison chart of M4 brands.

Thank you, kind sir. I got one for Xmas from the wife a few years back and have yet to take it out for a spin.

Also, the Bushmaster BCSR has been out of production for about a year and half. All production of the Chandler BCSR rifle is handled by Remington Custom Shop now as the TDR.

Crap, my M4 doesn't have park under the FSB and double heat sheilds. I'm throwing it in the trash!
