I'm at day 102, and I'm also impatient. I bought 7/4/22 and certified 7/7/22. Calling your rep isn't going to change anything as THOUSANDS of people are in front of us--most have been waiting even longer.Time to call my rep. 96 long days. They should pass a law that they must return $2 every day that goes by without approval. They would be quick to get them done.
Believe it or not, but if SS and my dealer had been more realistic about the expected wait times, I wouldn't be bitching at all.....I hate waiting so I wouldn't have made the purchase.
If it weren't for forums like this, it's easy to think that the whole process goes pretty quick. If it weren't for being able to point fingers at the .gov part of this process, any company advertising "fast turnaround times" would be out of business and likely sued for false advertisement.
I said it before: I should have bought a cheap lathe and made a F1 can instead. It would have been pretty close to the same expense, but after tooling up and making that first one, I could crank out as many as I want to for just the cost of materials and tax stamps. This is the route I'm taking for all future cans--If I'm going to have to wait, I might as well wait for my own shit and quit paying the middleman.
