Someone will have to explain the appeal of this idea. It seams driven by nostalgia but, ironically, nothing ruins our nostalgia faster than watching legends slower, weaker, and less powerful.

@Hawkeyemm I grew up watching boxing. Don't care much for the MMA shit. But Tyson's idea is a no-go for me. Who wants to watch over the hill, slow boxers way past their prime trying to beat the crap out of each other? I have much better ways to spend my time. As I'm an old fart, who knows how much I have left.

I would definitely itely watch it if they go bare knuckle ! No mouth peice either! Be funny to see the dentures fly!

lol they should put all the dims in political office in a chummed body of water and let them fight all the sharks maybe odc could cause a few of them to get as sick of her crap as I am , or they would at least be helping the environment with there sacrifice , Id raise a beer to that while laughing my butt off . either way the socialist would be gone for a few years and the parties would be epic .

This ^^^ If you mean AOC, then yup, mass epicness (is that even a word?).

Drag em on top of a seal decoy! Epic top water action!

There was a show kind of along those lines. i don't remember what it was called. But regular guys played against old legends of the game. In one they tried to cover Jerry Rice, in another they tried to tackle Hershal Walker. That one was funny. Can you say speed bump.

I don't care why he's coming back, watching him torque his entire body to throw a punch is still devastating. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of just 1 of those punches, much less a complete round.

I hope Tyson has his life strait, and has those bad influences out of it. It is rare to see a talent like him, the vultures circled him looking to make a mint. People who cared for nothing but the money he could make them.

Reminds me of the Royce Gracie - Ken Shsmrock fight that happened a few years ago. Well past both of their primes. Not a way to remember legends...

It could be decent for maybe three rounds... getting old means a much smaller gas tank going into the fight.

Besides, everything is relative. I never really understood the allure of heavyweight fighters in the first place. I think 160 to 170lbs is about ideal for boxing. Enough size to be devastating, but still fast paced as hell. Heavyweights are comparatively boring to watch. Especially the current batch.

A couple of sweaty fat guys hugging for 5 minutes at a time? Yeah, that’s heavy weight boxing. I’d much rather watch a middleweight boxing match- or a lightweight mma match.

Fun fact, Sylvester Stallone was only 163 lbs when he filmed Rocky 3, putting him between the middle weight and light heavy weight divisions of the day. And, at 178 when filming rocky 1, he was only 3 lbs over the lower cutoff for the heavyweight division. Most heavyweight boxers don’t look like him, or Carl Weathers, or Dolf Lundgren, or Mr. T...

Watch the films of Ali at his prime. Float like a butterfly sting like a bee. Whether or not you respected his 'politics' he was likely the best boxer of all time.

He was quick, no doubt. There are plenty that were/are faster in the lower weight classes though. And the lighter guys don't burn out as fast. Tyson was fast as hell for the first round or two, but how many heavyweights can keep that pace through the whole fight?

Remember when the 18 wheelers all had Tyson Foods on them I thought it would be wicked to get touched up photo of Holyfield with a chunk out of his ear, smiling under the Tyson Food sign.
    That’s hilarious
