I would absolutely die to have this rifle if it is as versatile and hardcore as they say. Interchangeable rounds is wicked sick especially when you consider how many different calibers they plan on utilizing. But I'm concerned it wont be as versatile as originally advertised. It had been stated it would take <span style="text-decoration: underline">5.56x45 nato</span>/ <span style="text-decoration: underline">7.62x39 soviet</span> / <span style="text-decoration: underline">6.8x43 spc</span> / (<span style="text-decoration: underline">.308/7.62x51 nato</span>). But I'm only seeing that it will take 5.56 uppers and .308 rounds standard?
Also no one seems to have them available. Have they been sold out already or have they not even been released yet?

Colt is NOT offering it in 7.62 X 39, period. It is a 7.62 X 51 NATO platform that can be adapted to shoot 5.56 X 45.

at 2011 SHOT, I only saw 5.56, 6.8 and x51 uppers... no x39 (and this was the CM, not SP). As of last month, they haden't been released for sale yet.

Nevermind - found it on the wikipedia page:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">This variant will also accept civilian AR-15 upper receivers of multiple barrel lengths, and includes a magazine well adapter to accommodate smaller STANAG magazines.</div></div>

LISTS FOR $2100 I believe---LE price probably $1750 TO $1850 CANNOT wait to try one out and see how the 556 upper operates on it---still not sure how they did it--It will either catch on with other brands also or be a highly collectible Colt in the near future---the AR10 format seems to be the biggest growth market for AR-type rifles right now--hope Colt knows what they are doing but I am guessing they did their homework
