I shot my 260 Rem Savage today. Barrel is Shilen, not sure if it matters.
I'm using Peterson brass, once fired (today).
I used the Hornady comparator tool and measured my fired cases at 1.624" (arbitrary number, I know).
I've only got a set of Hornady dies, but when I size the brass, it seems to be growing .002". This was repeatable over 4 pieces of brass.
Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong? How far down should I be setting the die?

An Israeli couple who were both reservists in the IDF and kept their rifles with them placed their 10 month old twins into a secure safe room in their kibbutz house before opening fire on armed Hamas terrorists trying to break in. The couple's rifle barrage killed 7 Hamas paramilitary fighters before both were also killed. But, having just lost 7 of their comrades, the Hamas raiders had enough and pulled away from that house, never breaching the safe room where the couple's children were hidden. Both children were rescued and found unharmed still in the secure room by armed relatives who arrived later with a party to hunt down any remaining Hamas fighters.

The terrorists did not attack Nir Am Kibbutz again and flanked around it to strike other settlements elsewhere. Every member of Nir Am Kibbutz emerged unharmed. I'm going to preface this by saying I actually love Hodge Defense barrels. I think they're extremely well made and are in my top tier for AR barrels.

That being said, I am building a 12.5 AR intended to be suppressed(Waiting on Allen Engineering to release the AEM3 they're prototyping) and as well all know, most hodge stuff is more or less unobtanium.

I think I found a long running issue, but now to what caused it. Some of my brass doesn't chamber after sizing. It appears someone I've added a rolled edge that can be removed with a little extra case prep (de-burring), but I'm trying to understand why or how brass ended up this way. (Exaggerated cross section below--the red portion is about 0.001, just enough to prevent chambering in case guage, or chamber--some are worse than others )



Again, I can use my case prep tool to remove the red portion, but WHY is that appearing in the first place. Is that natural and I just need better case prep or an error in my sizing/reloading process

I experienced a compound fracture of my tibia and fibula about a month ago. I had a rod put in, so no cast. I’m walking on it and doing therapy.

The area of the break, the ankle, and half of my foot are relatively numb. I believe the nerve was severed and needs to grow back.

So either America has gone on an accuracy international buying spree or ai is not pumping many parts out. Chassis systems are back ordered unless you want black. The thumbhole upgrade is out of stock many places.
A accuracy international rem chassis in black sold for over $1800 on eBay when msrp with thumbhole upgrade is a little over $1600.
I heard they just got another factory online so in reality their shout be an influx of new product.
Chassis colors like green are not back order able in many sites.

I’ve been debating new optics for a Sig Cross since moving my Polar to a 350 Legend AR earlier this year (MI hunting laws are dumb).

Currently I’m trying to justify something even worse for my wallet, e.g. a Tangent Theta, ZCO, or maybe the new March 1.5-15 that may or may not be any good.

Am I going to see a demonstrable return on with one of these over say, an ATACR or a Zeiss or something? Use will be shooting at scrub deer and targets out to 400 or so (again, Michigan).
