What if only 50% is true?

I am wondering if anyone has any empirical data (ideally holes in paper) of how much of an effect cant has on accuracy. I found myself missing shots I'd usually make today at the range. The only variable was a lack of a bubble level today. I then borrowed an electronic bubble level to play around with. From *very* little data (prone, steel targets, multiple distances 50-100 yds, 5 shots each), I found myself missing more often when my rifle is canted compared to when it's level. Now I understand that canting your rifle is inevitably less accurate, but I suppose I want to know if I can blame the cant, or my horrible shooting.

Maybe this is very obvious to many of you but I have never played around with or learned much about cant before and always used a bubble level (until today).

Gee, if only there had been a way to foretell and stop this.

Biden is facing increased scrutiny over his administration providing health care administrative services to illegal migrants amid a worsening border crisis, potentially exacerbating long wait times for American veterans utilizing Department of Veterans' Affairs (VA) facilities.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., touted his recently introduced No VA Resources for Illegal Aliens Act, which he introduced alongside Rep. Mike Bost, R-Ill., that would ban such action, one of the many problems he says are facing the country as a result of the border "disaster" taking place under Biden's watch.

"[Biden's] decided, OK, we've got to feed all these 10 million people we've let come across the border, we've got to house them, and we've got to give them health care," Tuberville said. "They've opened up care from the doctors in these [VA] community care systems. The lines now in the VA's are getting longer. Our funds that are supposed to go to the veterans are going to these illegal immigrants that are coming across."

Tuberville lamented that the VA was already not able to provide care for all 19 million veterans living across the country and that the community systems he mentioned had helped reduce wait times until the border crisis began to get worse.

The arrangement between the VA's Financial Service Center (VA-FSC) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to process claims for migrant medical care is a longstanding one that actually predates the Biden administration and was outlined in a 2020 memo during former President Trump's administration.

When an illegal migrant under ICE detention requires health care, they are typically treated onsite by medical professionals. However, if specialist or emergency care is required, they may be taken to an independent private provider.

Hello, I recently shot at the 300 yard range with a 6mm BR. I was using Hornady 105 BTHP-M and 2500 fps to initially dial in. I dialed 5.4 MOA. The velocity average was 2570 via Labradar and the group was about 1.5" higher than I dialed (2570 dial would be 5.1). The scope is a Nightforce NX8 F2. I tried 2 other powders and loads (2480 and 2760 avg velocities, same bullet) and only one load had the dial-in correct. All the others were high (one was 2.5" high). I doubt it's the scope as it's 2 months old. Any other reason the ballistic calculator and real world results are so off? My dope card should be the real world results, correct? If so, how much lower should the dial-in be, (dialed 5.4 MOA that was 1.5" high---if I dialed 5.1 instead of 5.4, would the 0.3 MOA difference lower the group 1.5"? Thanks.

Since CLE is no longer building for the community who is your ar barrel builder. I’ve had WOA, Criterion, Douglas, Wilson Combat. Looking for someone to spin me a custom Bartlein or Krieger. I want to upgrade the scope on my light coyote rifle. This gets used primarily in low light/ or spotlighting at night.
I have been running a leupold vx3 4.5-14 and it has worked ok, but lacks resolution when trying to pick out / identify animals in low light or under a spotlight.

Ideal would be something similar in size, shape and power, but with better glass.

I've followed Ted and ARC since around 2016 when I stumbled upon the Mausingfield and have lusted after one ever since however, with the CDG coming out I'm torn as to which would be the better option. Currently rolling with a Bushnell DMR II and few Arkens. Looking to potentially step up scope for ELR. Can definitely get past 1000y with all aforementioned scopes, but at those distances not crystal clear, at least for my eyes, on target, splash, etc. I am looking at three particular models that are pretty much $500 apart when taking into account discounts I can get.

Burris XTR Pro at midpoint ($500 more than Bushnells)
Vortex Gen 3 ($500 more than Burris)

I tend to favor the look of the Burris SCR reticle but don't hate the look of the GAP4. I am kind of meh on the EB7-D though if the clarity is so much more amazing than the others, I could learn to like it. Bushnell is a little over $1k and Vortex over $2k, which would be at the top end of my budget. Unfortunately, no locations near me that carry this spectrum of scopes to handle, so definitely an online purchase. I know all three models are discussed in various forums here but hoping to get more direct info from those that may have experience with these particular models.
