Get Woke Go Broke a case study: Peloton in free fall

Older story... but Peloton (maker of trendy bikes that cost way too much and come with remote trainers because millenials need gold stars every five seconds... But the company is still in free fall and doing worse.

Now here is their 'answer' to turning themselves around. An utter ESG extravaganza of characters who are simply not part of the Peloton Demographic. And set to a song about gang violence.

Let's get real... outside a handful of NFL or NBA players... the demographic for Pelotons is trophy wives in suburban and urban areas who are trying to keep off the fat so that their rich attorney husband does not divorce them for a hot thin young chick. It's not fat milleniels living in trailers by the river. It's not gangbangers. It's not, by any stretch, the fat, ugly people in the pictures. None of those folks fit an image that Peloton buyers relate to... want to look like... or aspire to.

But look how woke it is! It has every oppressed minority in it. It has giant Rachel Dolezal hair. It has everything that your urbanite woke leftist moron could pack into a commercial (including a theme song about gangbanging)... at an expensive luxury product aimed at cute blonde fuzzy-bunny trophy wives living on the upper west side and in Cos Cob.

THIS is why ESG and Get Woke Go Broke are so retarded. This company is doomed. It's finished. Its image is now... shot. It was flying high during Covid... people were buying these things to replace their 'closed' gym membership. They had such momentum. But not only blew the sales curve once Covid ended... but have now rebranded their over-priced 'toys' towards people who don't have a pot to piss in and certainly aren't putting Peloton in their trailer or their Section 8 housing.

Can't wait to see these folks auger in totally. The sad part is that they will take a lot of 401k's with them. Because Woke Investment counselors and hedge fund managers look at this shit and put YOUR money into this crap. And then you lose your money. Because Peloton and its idiot ad agency (and marketing stooges) pissed it away.

Well, it'll be fun to watch it implode. And as Christmas Season approaches... the last thing you want to do is buy this crap! Noone will be around to support it in another year.

Meat grinders

Quick question for the guys processing their own game. I see no sense in paying close to $200/ whitetail for some guy to make bologna for me.

Wondering if I could get suggestions on a mid level grinder that allows me to also stuff casings. Before you tell me to go be poor somewhere else, I’m not buying a $700 grinder. Looking for a mid tier model that’ll be reliable for 3-4 West Virginia white tails a year.

Thanks!

SEEKINS SP10 6.5 Creedmoor 22" ODG: Experience Part 3: More Details and Discoveries

I am listening and learning some great info. Meeting some very expressive folks and helpful ones too.

Check out part 1 and part 2 if you missed the action. There's before and after bore and chamber borescope pics. As well as lots of interesting and expressive commentary.

About me: Shooting AR's (small frame) since 1996, building them since 2005. (Late 90's Complete factory Bushmaster, Aero Precision, 2A Armament, CMT (ambi), SanTan (ambi-set), ADM UIC SL(ambi), Complete M4 Colt lower, Complete Larue Stealth 556/223 Wylde) Also own two 6.5 CM bolt- Tikka T3X Tac A1, Sig Cross (post recall)

Quick recap:
I purchased my first large frame gas gun, after much deliberation over a Wilson combat or V Seven DIY build vs factory
I will probably still DIY a Wilson Combat or V Seven Harbinger build later this year for a lighter weight setup, stalking/brush rig. Or pick up a POF Rogue on BlackFri/CyberMon deal?

HERE IS WHY I chose the Seekins SP10
Great reputation, base gun for USASOC spec and GA Precision. Very good ambi-lower design and I found one in ODG. Some don't like ODG but it's actually a bit greener and a bit lighter and a lot nicer than any of the pics I have seen online. Yes, I'll post some pics of my setup soon.
Since I have not bought my mountain homestead yet, I can't step out my front door and snap shots (Neither image nor powder burning). Plus my carbon tripod has not arrived yet.

I like the SP10 so far.
Excellent Ambi lower design, Very nice cerakote job, I could find no flaws. Well thought out hand guard design. Nice and rigid, some of the screws that secure the hand guard to the upper receiver were slightly proud. They were all inspected and none were cross threaded. I tightened them all to 18in/lbs. which is what they appeared to have been installed at.
Teeny tiny amount of wobble in the upper / lower (fix with accuwedge?). Un-fenced left side mag release but it seems stiff enough to resist accidental mag drops. Magpul MOE grip angle not vertical enough for my taste. Replaced with a Reptilia CQG.
Mounted a Griffin Plan A, Mini Flash hider suppressor mount so I can use my Dead Air Nomad LT or YHM.

Replacing the grip revealed something interesting. The Seekins SP10 lower receiver selector spring hole is ever so slightly more rearward than any AR15 small frame I have ever worked on. The Magpul grip spring hole is large enough to be within tolerance. However, the Hogue 15 and Reptilia were not. This caused binding of the selector lever. I had to slightly drill the Reptilia spring hole to stop from binding the selector spring.

What I have found out so far:

Packaging / Versions:

There might be 4 different variations of Seekins SP10 produced since 2020. I am going to attempt to clarify this with Seekins.
Earliest ones came with ATC brake installed, Timney 1-stage 3lb trigger, Magpul PRS Stock, large hard plastic case with full piano hinge
Sometime between now and 2020, they started using their own X10 Stock which has a tool-less adjustable Cheek pad (up to .25" travel) and LOOP adjustable via two allen bolts and addition of up to two provided spacers.
The latest one has a thread protector installed, ATC brake separate, Triggertech trigger, good sized Nylon covered hard case OR Cardboard box with Laser cut foam.
Mine was marked 2/2023 and did NOT come with any ATC brake. It came with a Timney trigger, Seekins manual, warning card inside the hand guard, Seekins X10 stock, Two butt stock spacers, 4 butt stock screws. No hex wrenches to adjust the gas block. (It takes two sizes) 20 Round black PMAG. (not in bag)
NOTE: The manual describes how to adjust the gas block but does not specify what size hex wrenches to use.
In a Plano GunGuard case (msrp $29) which would not fit the scoped rifle without a bit of distortion/wrangling.

The dealer of purchase replied: "it's factory new, it came with what it came with and no support (from them) after transfer is complete"
Seekins has not replied as of today but they do have a note on their site saying they are a bit backed up at the moment and may take several days to respond. ( I am not worried )

SP10 BOLT:
As far as I can see, there is no description of the bolt on Seekins site. So here is what mine came with:
Appears to be slick black coating or surface treatment. Possibly Nitride? Bolt is similar finish. Features dual ejectors at 1 and 6 oclock with slightly chamfered lugs.

SP10 Spring is Flat Wire
Gas System seems to be rifle gas + The front of the gas block is slightly protruding from the front plane of the handguard.

I'll be breaking in the Seekins SP10 with Magtech 140gr FMJBT
I just ordered some match and hunting ammo:

HORNADY MATCH 6.5 CREEDMOOR 140 GRAIN EXTREME LOW DRAG MATCH HOLLOW POINT - 20 ROUNDS10
FEDERAL PREMIUM GOLD MEDAL 6.5 CREEDMOOR 140 GRAIN SIERRA MATCHKING BOAT TAIL HOLLOW POINT - 20 ROUNDS10
FEDERAL POWER-SHOK 6.5 CREEDMOOR 140 GRAIN JACKETED SOFT POINT - 20 ROUNDS5

Here are borescope pics from After the first cleaning. I am going to clean it again. (they were in part 2 but buried at the bottom inside a reply)

Tracking deer with no blood

Anyone here ever kill a deer that didn’t leave a blood trail?
I’m tore up at the moment. Grunted in a monster buck and thought I had a good shot on him (aimed mid body behind shoulder slightly quartering away); if I’m being honest, maybe a little high.
Arrow passed through, but very little blood on arrow and nothing on the ground.
Need some advice. High lung? Backstrap? Dead deer? I’m at a loss

Thanks

The " RDB Defender." Is Kel-Tec finally serious?

The world becoming what it has, I've been looking for a serious "jump out of the truck and start laying down a lot fire" type of rifle, while avoiding the SBR shenanigans. Also, my 5'2" wife has always hated AR type rifles because of her short arms. I may have killed two birds with one stone here. I recently purchased a Kel-Tec RDB Defender, and I really like this gun. I have about 200 rounds through it, and I think Kel-Tec finally got serious with this one after building a reputation for questionable quality "novelty" type guns. To start with, this gun is light. It's a bullpup rifle weighing in at 6.7 pounds with a 16.1" barrel, and a listed overall length of 26". But, hey, this thing has a sliding collapsible stock that brings the OAL down to about 24" and it can be fired from the shoulder collapsed. (I wonder how the BATF missed this one LOL!)

My wife is loving this gun. Being a bullpup, the majority of the weight is behind the AR-type pistol grip, which makes it easily handled by a short-armed person. And, it uses standard AR magazines. It comes with a 20-round, but all of my 30 round boxes will plug right into it. It's also a lefty's dream gun. It ejects straight down, and all the controls are either ambidextrous, or can be switched over for left-handed use. And, it appears to have an AR type trigger group. But, one of the most surprising things about this gun is the trigger. Bullpups are notorious for having crappy triggers, but not this one. It's smooth with hardly any detectable creep.

We've got over 200 rounds through this gun, and it's a shooter. No hiccups. I put a Burris RT-6 1-6 LPVO on it, and I put 5 rounds the size of a quarter using 62grn full copper jacket Privi Partizan at 100 yds. Having a true 16.1" barrel, the velocity doesn't suffer. I can bang a 24" round steel plate with it at 600 yards shooting over a bag and never miss.

This thing makes a helluva vehicle gun. If your in the market for an SBR, you might want to look at this instead.

Spotting Scope For .223 Bullet Splatters At 500 Yards ?

Guys, I know Kowa will be recommended, but I`m a " Poor " and need to stay in a 300-500 dollar range. Don`t need to see bullet holes, just impact splatters for .223 rounds on large white targets well enough to adjust for smaller gong targets at 500 yards. Maybe 600. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
