Wilson Combat barrel in 308 win. Had threaded by a local shop in anticipation of suppressors. Had a Dead Air Key micro brake with a touch of Rocksett for the Sandman S while I waited for the Nomad Ti. The sandman s set up shot great.

Boiled the MB to release the Rocksett. Brake came off easy. No die to clean threads so used a dental pick to scrape the gunk off.

Since I was so close with the pick, I noticed they look wonky to my untrained eye.

Looking at tap and clearance drill sizes 5/8 x 24 major diameter is 0.625 and minor diameter is 0.5739

Mine are tapered so:
Major diameter at muzzle are 0.591- 0.630 at the shoulder

Minor diameter 0.573 at muzzle to 0.594 at shoulder.

Turns out the victim wasn’t even a ms-13 honcho nor eating skittles.
Only took 3 years for courts to decide that pointing a gun at a man and toddler for driving too slow is not covered by qualified immunity. Our justice industry needs a serious overhaul.

I’ve posted here throughout the years and this is the only place I have left to turn to. I’m not doing good mentally. I’m 32 years old and the shit I’m going through has me feeling like it’s over for me.

I am starting a 6.5 Creedmoor precision rifle build on an ar-10/lr-308 system. I am looking for recommendations on a barrel, gas block, and muzzle brake (I know a suppressor would be best, but not in the budget right now). I saw a Wilson Combat supersniper barrel for sale on Brownells but I do not have any experience with Wilson Combat outside of their 1911's. I am looking to use the rifle for some minor long-range competitions and local long-rang matches, the distances can reach out to 1200 yards.

I am (reluctantly) selling my Remington Defense R-10 CSASS that was used in the M110 CSASS Military Trials.

The lower was used in the trials and features a UID sticker and “C3” in paint pen. The upper was factory built and matches the post trials R-10 with improvements made from the feedback that came from the trials.

The Rifle itself is a 16” 7.62x51mm small frame AR-10 using the DPMS G2 pattern. The bore is nitrided to achieve a high standard of accuracy, a rifle length gas system for a smooth and soft recoiling system, full ambi controls (for you wrong handed individuals), and a geissele SSA trigger. I have printed about .75 MOA using M118LR, but I am not a great shooter so I’m sure it’s much more capable.

Note: The rifle can be finnicky with ammo, with a can on it functions well with an H3. Going down to an H2 may help, but I believe opening the gas port a little may be best.

Hi all. Getting into 22lr benchrest and am buying a scope. Must have 20x+, low parallax, ffp, good reticle. I don't care about illumination.

I just ordered a Burris RT 5-25 (came today), but I don't have to keep it. For around the same money I could get the Strike Eagle (Vortex 5-25) or could get the Burris XTR II-which means I would have to get (another) set of rings.

I have the XTR II on my 6.5 precision and really like it, though it can wash out without the sun shade. I have a PST GEN2 1-5 on my AR and have been very happy with Vortex.

Have you guys shot with the Strike Eagle, and can you please offer your compare and contrast opinion? Anything I should be looking at that I'm not (as you can probably tell budget is a concern... like $5-800)? Any general opinions on these scopes?

As I mentioned in the A.I. picture thread, I recently purchased an AXMC in 6.5CM.

After getting home and starting to put it together, when levelling the rifle, I noticed that the action/scope rail was canted side to side….to the point of being visible to the eye.
Ended up sending it back, it was away for 5 weeks and had a new rail installed.

Got it back the other day and while it’s not as severe as it was, it’s still canted.

I tend to get really hung up on small details like this, that ultimately don’t really matter. And I also had a less that satisfactory experience with A.I. customer service.

Is this even a problem/something you would worry about?

By my calculations, the rail is out by approx 0.3 - 0.4 degrees, with the mating surfaces of the rail-to-action 0.07mm out of square.

So I was wondering which rifle would you guys recommend? Are there other options, something readily available or with short wait/turnaround time and priced under $3000. I bought action with 580 rounds on it and have shot no more than 700 rounds through it. Hammers 80 and 75 eldms with varget. Barrel is a prefit proof comp contour 1/7 twist 26" no barrel nut. Barrel was painted black when I got it. I took the paint off and you can tell it. Has swirls in the barrel. I will sell just BA or with a Burris rt25 5x25x56 mil scope. BA only $1250. Currently figuring out which scope to buy for my DD5V5 (20" 6.5 creed). I am fairly sure itll be a NF ATACR (still subject to change as a can get some good deals on zeiss/steiner/LP) but the real question is what mag range should I be getting? My goal is to have a gun thats capable out to 1k but will primarily be used in the 3-700 yard range. Is something like a 4-16 not enough? I know NF makes the ATACRs in a 4-20 as well. What do you guys think?
