6 Creedmoor, heavy bolt lift

So I just did a small ladder test with my AT-X. I'm getting heavy bolt lift on what I believe to be pretty mild loads. I'm also noticing weird markings on some of the case shoulders. No real signs of pressure otherwise (please double check me on this). I'll post some pics.

6mm Creedmoor
107 SMKs
Lapua Brass
CCI BR2 small primers
H4350

Charges were 40.5, 40.8, 41.0, 41.2, and 41.4.

Velocities were under 3100 fps

The brass was new and I sized it with a SAC sizing die prior to loading.

Rifle Scopes Advice On "Do-All" Optic for 2 Caliber Origin Build

Ok sooooo I just don't shoot precision rifle as much any more as pistols take up 90% of my shooting time (just had 2nd kid). So for the foreseeable future, I'm putting together 2 calibers on one origin action. One will be an 18" 6.5cm(heavier barreled) for most of my shooting and one will most likely be a 7SS or 7SAUM(lighter barreled) for the occasional elk or pronghorn hunting, or occasional long range shooting(up to a mile).

I'm in Ohio so no rifles like this on deer; hunting would be out west with friends. I will say, I am not an avid hunter so maybe once a year or once every other year, I'll go hunting with this. Mainly will be target shooting, but the 7SS barrel will need to be light enough to hunt with. I don't mind carrying some extra weight, but action is 2lbs, chassis is most likely going to be 3.3lbs, so 20-22" lighter contour might be 4lbs?...so hoping to have one scope in the 20-30oz range that could be used for target and hunting.

Currently my scope line up is:
Vortex Razor II 3-18 (46oz)
Steiner P4xi 4-16 (32oz)
Athlon Helos G2 2-12 (25oz, but not sure this is robust enough for 7SS elk trip)
Burris RT-6 - used on carbines and lever guns.

Essentially, looking for advice on either consolidating my scopes into 1-2 better options for all-around use or understanding why one or the other is fine for my needs. Thinking of getting rid of the Vortex and getting something more manageable.

Just had a kid, so budget isn't super high and I'm utilitarian in nature so not looking to spend more than $500 extra, on top of selling 1-2 of the above scopes. So if I sold both the Razor and Steiner, that would give me maybe $1800-$2200 worth of budget.

***UPDATE: CHARLOTTE SENA SAFE. SUSPECT IN CUSTODY***

MOREAU LAKE STATE PARK, NEW YORK

LAST PHOTO OF HER TAKEN RIGHT BEFORE DISAPPEARANCE:

300px-Map_of_New_York_highlighting_Saratoga_County.svg.png

Charlotte Sena, age 9, was picnicking with her family at Moreau Lake State Park when she went on a final bicycle ride around the picnic site and never returned to her family. State police and civilian volunteers already canvassed the entire area for almost 18 hours before issuing an Amber Alert. The child's bicycle had been found abandoned, leading to fears that she had been abducted.

BE ON THE LOOKOUT for anybody who may be traveling with this child. If it was an abduction and the perp(s) managed to get onto a highway, they can be ANYWHERE now. Be on the lookout for the young girl in the photos above and anyone who may be with her.

***UPDATE***

Trading my SR25 for an AI? Am I crazy?

I have a 16" ACC upper and values on them seem to be hovering around $4,300. I've conveniently noticed that Euro optic and mile high shooting are blowing out the AT-X at right around the same price. Or alternatively, that seems to be close to the value of a used AT. Would it be crazy to sell my upper to get into an AI in either 6 or 6.5 Creed?

Ever since I built a 6mm ARC with an 18" Proof CF barrel, that seems to be filling my need for a "heavy hitting, long(er) range gas gun" and the SR25 has mostly sat in the safe. For context, my primary interest is competing in Run and Gun biathlons, so for the matches where targets stretch out to 800+ yards, I take the ARC over the SR25 since saving a couple pounds is a major benefit when running 5-10 miles and no extra points are awarded for higher power factor or larger caliber guns.

My rationale for the SR25 <> AI trade is I'd like to try out some sniper field matches (NRL, Mammoth Sniper, maybe SAC, etc) and the SR25 is clearly not the ideal platform for that. So this allows me to get into a top tier bolt gun at essentially breakeven price. I would also sell my MARS-H lower and put some money in my pocket to fund ammo, glass, etc. The downside is that the 16" ACC uppers are discontinued and essentially unobtanium and would be very hard to replace if I ever had seller's remorse. Meanwhile, the AI (at least the AT-X) is available everywhere and it also feels like with these blowout prices, a new version may be just around the corner. SHOT show announcement maybe?

The alternative to selling the SR25 would be just keeping it and save up a bit and get an entry level $1k bolt gun (Bergara or whatever, need to do more research) and call it a day.

Hive mind, please share your wisdom with me.

Optic recommendation 3-18 on a budget

Hello, new to the site, have been doing a ton of reading and have reached analysis paralysis. Im looking for a 3-18 scope (roughly) for a .308 bolt gun for both hunting and target shooting. There are some thick woods where I hunt so I dont want to go higher than 3x on the low end, ,willing to go lower.
Budget: $500
Distance: 25-500 yards
Illuminated reticle
FFP strongly preferred.
Adjustable parallax.
resettable turrets.
as clear glass as I can get, willing to forgo features to get clearer glass
Willing to purchase used

Things I dont care about: Tube size, weight, zero stops, brand (as long as its reputable), capped or exposed turrets. Flexible on reticle options, would prefer mil because I want to learn it, but only have experience with moa.

Riton x3 and x7 seem to hit most of the marks but their quality seems questionable so I think I have ruled them out. Primary Arms slx Gen 2 also seems to hit all the marks but currently on preorder, so its reputation isnt established but right now its my top contender, plus right now it comes with $125 store credit.

Ive found a couple that look good with SFP like the Athlon Midas 2.5-15 and the Meopta Optika6 2.5-15, but aside from the PA and Riton I seem to be striking out.

Is there anything I may be overlooking, or perhaps should I reconsider some things?

Appreciate any advice!

Firearms West Texas Ordnance 300 Norma For Sale

Shamefully selling this rifle/scope setup to thin out the herd. All specs are listed on the build sheet. Rifle currently has 503 rds on it and will shoot 1/4 MOA 3 rd groups with N570/RL50 and 245 Berger/250 A-tip. Those are the only combinations ever shot through the rifle. Many reloading accessories available as well. This rifle has never been shot in rapid fire succession-slow fire only. Scope is a ZCO 5-27 with MPCT 1 reticle and the mount is American Rifle Company M-Brace 32 mm height and 30 MOA angle.

Price for complete assembly is $5995.00

The rifle sale does not include the Bipod in the picture.
