The rifle was cerakoted and assembled by Altus. The chassis is not cerakoted and retains the factory light brown color. Rifle has just under 200 rounds down the pipe. Incredible shooter, just looking to clear space in my safe for another rifle. I can provide receipts from Altus if desired.

I have been through three processors now and all three promised fully processed brass. All three have delivered primer pockets with no discernible swagging I can see. Seating primers is a nightmare and all I get is crap answers like yes they are swagged or they are swagged as much as I can before my customers start complaining about loose primer pockets. One had the gall to tell me primer pockets packed full of walnut media was just part of it and run them through a vibratory tumbler. The other two had nice looking brass and all three had 223 brass that gauged well. No neck chamfers on any of them.

What I want to do is find a processor that actually swages those primer pockets for reloading on a Dillon 750 and hopefully does the inside of the neck chamfer as well. I don't want to process brass in the amount I am doing and I don't want lousy processed brass I have to follow up on. 223 and 308.

So I got this super trickler about 2 months ago. The lid arrived cracked because of the way they shipped out from the factory. Rex knows and will ship a replacement for free. Otherwise comes as new, maybe with a few grains of powder. No scale.

Selling my one year old pair of el rangers hate to see em go but going up to 15s and no longer need. I will note, I have an original TRG22 in 308, and the changes are well received as believe they did a great job changing the rifle to fit modern times. Mainly the adjustability in the stock. The TRG22A1 has a folding quick adjust stock. One note, be sure to tighten everything up as you can induce movement in the parts without securing. The bolt is one of the smoothest in the industry and when you run the bolt on a TRG you instantly fall in love. I am big fan of their triggers also.

This rifle is different from the M10 TRG by the fact it is not switch barrel capable. The barrels on the TRG are fixed in place.


TRG Ammo
One highlight for me is the TRG Ammo from Beretta.

The TRG Precision ammunition features a 136gr Scenar L bullet which in my opinion is the perfect round for the 6.5CM. Many people chase bullet weight but the 136gr Lapua has the same BC as many of the heavier 140gr class bullets have. The benefit of the 136gr bullet is being slightly lighter you bring back speed. I feel the 6.5CM class of bullets work best around 2800fps or higher.

Running the Numbers


Running the bulletseeker on the TRG we had excellent numbers.

136gr Scenar L
AVG Velocity : 2780fps
SD: 14fps



With the Hammer forged barrel we have a bit slower velocity, but I have documented that many times. However even with them being in the slower node of velocity, accuracy is first class. When zeroing the rifle my initial accuracy first look was very, very good.



Bottom group was my initial shots on paper after the bore sight. The 3 shot group at the the target was my zero group so very accuracy ammo.

I then went out, dope the rifle to distance, getting my weaponized math details.



I then adding .2 mils over the 1000 yard dope and decided to whack a prairie dog on the range. I estimate it was around 1010 - 1015 yards, this was a second round impact on the animal. I quick ranged him, saw the splash in my reticle, adjusted and took him out with the next shot.



I will have more to report, our weather is just being racket since our Cameo Class. Once the weather breaks I will be back out putting the TRG22A1 through its paces.

I would like to sell this all as one lot. This belonged to my dad's best friend who passed last year. I've been helping his widow sell his collection. This is the last few things. I don't have much experience with the chassis'.

The multicam chassis was on a rem700 LA 7mm mag. The green is SA. I don't know what the rest of the pieces are. If anyone can help with any further info or interested in more pics I can do that.

I have double checked all my info. Have accurate weather, scope over bore, velo, etc. Using .179 G1.


Not sure what to do, I can't even get to the actual drop truing BC. Adjusting velocity I have to get up to ~1200 fps to align. Have a hard time believing chrono is off by over 100 fps.

I'm looking at building a dedicated hunting rifle on another Tikka Action. The easy button would likely be a 6.5 PRC, but the 7 SAW is intriguing me with some component crossover with my 6.5CM and use of larger 162's for western trips. low recoil etc.

I plan to use a proof blank, but is it possible to take down one of their 7mm blanks to fit the tikka actions with their smaller size?

Newb question, I know, but I've only used Proof prefits for other tikka builds. Not a custom chambered blank.

I remember around 15 years ago, lasers on pistols were a big thing, maybe just a fad.

Has white light replaced lasers on handguns or do I just not hear about them like I once did?

On my SRS A1, factory barrel. Before install, rifle was consistent. I installed 3/4"-24 (female) to 5/8"-24 adapter and SF Warcomp. Now, I am getting fliers every few rounds. The flier can be as much as 1 mil high at 100 yards.

The adapter was torqued to 30 ft/lb and Warcom to 22 ft/lb. I am curious what interaction could be causing the fliers. I also verified that the barrel is torqued correctly to 80"/lb using factory seekonk wrench.
I am curious what could be causing that. Has anyone else had fliers show up after changing muzzle devices?

Trying to decide between the two optics, field of view and eye relief are two major factors in my decision, I wish we had a shop close by so I could try one. Any advise would be great thanks in advance
