Is This Canadian Transgender Shop Teacher Auditioning for an Adult Film Shoot?

Screen-Shot-2022-09-17-at-12.11.55-PM-730x0.png
Twitter/@hippojuicefilm

Oakville Trafalgar High School in Ontario, Canada is part of the Halton District School Board. They’ve been promoting gender identity ideology in schools for a few years, so this probably won’t surprise them at all.

A shop teacher who taught last year as a man showed up in class this year looking a little different.

I don't remember my shop teacher looking like this🧵 pic.twitter.com/pHHr58Zspa
— King Royce Lopez II 👑 (@hippojuicefilm) September 14, 2022

I regret to inform all of the males (and I presume jealous females) reading this that those humongous breasts aren’t real. In fact, we’d be hard-pressed to find anything “real” about “Kayla Lemieux,” who last year was teaching shop as a man named “Stephen Hanna.”

If you guessed that the kids that Lemieux taught are caught between desperately wanting to make fun of the disturbed man and knowing they could be expelled for doing so, you’re right.

“The kids here most definitely don’t think its normal… but realistically we can’t say anything,” one student said on Twitter, “Last year, the teacher was a man. I don’t think the school can fire him.”

Reduxx:

Lemieux is listed within the faculty directory on the OTHS website. His official school e-mail address is also connected to a Google account which has a photo visually verifying his identity.
Reduxx reached out to OTHS administrators for comment, and they did confirm that Lemieux is currently employed at the school, but refused any further questions.
Set aside concerns about transgenderism and look at this from the standpoint of a mental health issue. It’s entirely unnecessary for Lemieux to wear these huge prosthetic breasts. And if Lemieux claims it’s part of some kind of “gender discovery process,” the teacher needs a mental health intervention. In fact, Lemieux’s obvious fascination with breasts is more reminiscent of a teenage boy’s fantasy rather than anything having to do with transgender male/female identity.

True North:

According to websites selling these prosthetic breasts, the largest pair can weigh up to 35 pounds (16,000 grams).
Both Lemieux and the school’s principal Meredith Cammisuli did not respond to a True North request for comment on the appropriateness of her presentation.
But on Friday afternoon, the school removed the list of staff and their e-mail addresses from its website.
For Hanna/Lemieux to deliberately parade ludicrously large mammaries in front of hormone-infused teenage boys borders on sexual exhibitionism. It’s a prurient display reminiscent of porn in that there is no redeeming personal or professional value in such a display. Lemieux/Hanna is wearing the fake breasts to elicit a sexual response.

Firing Lemieux/Hanna would be a gift. Arresting the porn actor is what is deserved.

What are yall doing for bolt smoothness

So aside from the obvious, cycling the bolt over and over, what can I do to make a bolt cycle smoother?

I bought a brand new howa mini to give my dad for hunting. I've already spent some coin in getting a decent bottom metal for it (the factory one sucks since it's plastic), and even had it bedded.

I later stumbled onto a good deal on here for another mini and bought it. They are worlds apart in how they feel when you cycle the bolt. I could give this one to my dad instead but now this one is going to need bedding, another bottom metal, etc.

Is there anything anyone can recommend? If it was for me, I wouldn't mind much. But since I gifting this to my dad, I want to make sure it's as good as it can get.

The one I built for my dad

VS the one I bought after the fact

The one I bought new has some finish on bolt and it looks shitty. The one I bought from here has a stainless bolt and they are worlds apart!

New Sig Sauer MCX SPEAR LT in 5.56 nato

Sig is now offering a 5.56 version of their MCX SPEAR rifle- they named it the Spear LT:

Small arm designs are introduced in both revolutionary and evolutionary processes, each being equally important to developing a reliable and capable firearm system. For manufacturers, engineering a new gun and its progressive iterations, is a painstaking progression that requires refinement, numerous evaluation cycles, and performance improvements. For the consumer, the excitement of a new system is intertwined with compatibility concerns, the hope for additional features in future releases, and waiting – a cycle that is not unique to the firearm industry. In early 2015, SIG Sauer released the MCX, a revolutionary design in a market awash in direct impingement AR-15 variants. In the years since the initial release, the MCX progressed into the MCX Virtus, arriving at where we are today – the introduction of the SIG MCX SPEAR-LT.
Below: The SPEAR-LT with the SIG SLX556-QD suppressor.

The MCX SPEAR-LT may not seem overly impressive at first glance, but it is the most advanced update to date, adding features, reducing weight, while remaining completely backwards compatible with all of the MCX Virtus models over the past five years.

Alone, a short stroke piston is not exactly a ‘revolutionary design’ – several rifles and carbines have used this system with great success. But SIG refined a series of features around the short stroke piston to develop an advanced rifle that addresses many of the shortcomings displayed in the AR-15 and other weapon systems.
If you own an MCX Virtus, don’t worry. All of the parts are backwards compatible. But for obvious reasons you may not be able to take advantage of all of the new features of the MCX SPEAR-LT should you decide to mix and match.

The hand guard on the SPEAR-LT is slimmer, lighter, and is securely fastened to the upper receiver with two bolts. Some users were concerned with the possibility of a shift in the point of impact (POI) when using laser devices that were attached to the hand guard on the Virtus systems. Although I tested this several times and my IR laser held a zero even after being completely removed. The lower profile of the SPEAR-LT hand guard does allow for a more secure supporting hand grip.
Using a pushbutton design rather than a pull up and rotate action, the new MCX collapsing stock folds easily out of the way when needed. There is a removable cheek rest for those shooters who don’t like the feel of cold metal on their sensitive skin.

Features:

  • 13” Lightweight Ergonomic Handguard
  • SIG Flatblade Match Trigger
  • Fully Ambidextrous Controls
  • Interchangeable Barrels
  • Push-Button Folding Stock With Cheekrest
  • SIG QD Suppressor-Ready Flash Hider

Fully Ambidextrous

One of the biggest additions to the MCX SPEAR-LT is the right side bolt release, making this rifle completely ambidextrous. This minimalist design was first introduced with the SIG Switchblade M400 AR-15 series and it is both low profile and easy to use. It looks dainty, but it’s not – it is solid and it works.

Besides the ambidextrous right side bolt release, there are some internal geometry changes in the MCX SPEAR-LT lower receiver (top) compared to the MCX Virtus lower receiver (bottom). If you are mocking my dirty MCX Virtus lower, be advised that the MCX is my favorite carbine and it gets shot a lot.

TFB FIRST LOOK: Introducing the New 5.56 SIG MCX SPEAR-LT
A side profile look at the SPEAR-LT (top) and the Virtus (bottom) lower receivers notes that the right side bolt release is really the only difference between the two. Also note that the whole rifle is anodized in coyote FDE whereas the MCX Virtus could have both anodized and Cerakote coated parts from the factory.

The recoil springs and bolt carrier groups have the same external geometry, which allows everything to remain backwards compatible.

But one of the new features of the SPEAR-LT is the ability to use any MILSPEC AR-15 trigger. This change requires a redesign in the MCX firing pin lock system. The SPEAR-LT BCG (top) appears to have the firing pin lock on the left side of the bolt directly behind the firing pin (pictured here on the bottom of the firing pin). Where as the Virtus firing pin lock comes down from the top.

Below: The firing pin lock design (highlighted in yellow) on the MCX Virtus from the MCX Small Parts Shopper (SIG). We will do a full field strip in the coming weeks – I want to get a good number of rounds through this gun as it came from the factory before I do any disassembly.

MCX Virtus Bolt Carrier Group and recoil spring system with the previous firing pin lock design.
After a cursory review of both the SPEAR-LT (top) and the Virtus (bottom) upper receiver groups, I wasn’t able to detect any significant differences.
TFB FIRST LOOK: Introducing the New 5.56 SIG MCX SPEAR-LT

TFB FIRST LOOK: Introducing the New 5.56 SIG MCX SPEAR-LT
At first I bemoaned the 16 inch barrel as the first SPEAR-LT release (yes, I use terms like ‘bemoaned’ and complain about the brand new first production MCX SPEAR-LT as being ‘too long’). But the barrel length does make perfect sense. With pistol stabilizing braces firmly in the crosshairs of ATF regulations and the NFA application process for making or transferring a short barrel rifle (SBR) taking months to complete, a 16″ rifle is the best way to get the SPEAR-LT in as many hands as possible as quickly as possible.
TFB FIRST LOOK: Introducing the New 5.56 SIG MCX SPEAR-LT

TFB FIRST LOOK: Introducing the New 5.56 SIG MCX SPEAR-LT
Besides, when barrels and hand guards become available, new owners can start the ATF Form 1 process and created their own SBR while still shooting their 16″ gun. MCX barrel swaps can be completed with simple tools, don’t require an armorer like AR-15 barrel changes, and can be completed in as little as two minutes. As a reminder, always read the user manual before operating or disassembling a new firearm to ensure the proper procedures are being followed.
Below: The 9″ MCX Virtus in 300BLK suppressed with the SIG SLX762-QD (top) is about the same length as the unsuppressed 16″ SPEAR-LT in 5.56 (bottom).

TFB FIRST LOOK: Introducing the New 5.56 SIG MCX SPEAR-LT
As a huge fan of the SIG MCX Virtus, I am extremely pleased to finally witness the evolution of the MCX SPEAR-LT. This rifle drops some weight, adds new features, remains backward compatible, and improves on an already impressive system that is used by military, law enforcement, and civilians around the world. Most importantly, the MCX SPEAR-LT is in production and is available for purchase starting tomorrow.

Gunsmithing Need high quality 1/4” bits

I’m sure I’m not the only one that has found the 1/4” bit sets at Lowes, Home Depot, etc to be less than adequate when it comes to strength/quality. Same goes for a very popular bit set a lot of us have in our shooting bags.

I’ve had bits snap off, others (Torx) twist up, and other bits have the edges get worn down very quickly. These bits are all for personal use, mainly hand driven, and are the proper size for task. All of the places of purchase are very accommodating to replace bits but I’d really like to not have to go through this damage-replace cycle and have back up sets of bits just in case.

Anybody have any recommendations for professional grade 1/4” bits? I’d like to build out my own set for my range bag and another master set to keep at home.
Thanks, Jim

Physical Fitness Deadlifts?

I have recently become obsessed with deadlifts. My goal is 500#, I am currently at 375 max and doing 300 (warm up), 345 and then 360 for my sets. My question: How often should I push for an increase? None of my joints are complaining about the exercise (well, anymore than normal). Im doing them twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays.
Im 47 (almost 48) and weigh in at 176#.

This is actually the most I have ever worked this particular exercise. Im trying to focus on form and not met my ego get in the way.

Raven Euro Carbon fiber stocks

Hello everybody!

We've decided to make a thread devoted to our carbon fiber stocks to present them to you and to tell more about us and our work. This thread will also cover some of our ideas implemented into the stocks, carbon finishes, general questions - and hope that this thread will be a place of discussion and pics from our customers in USA and Canada as well.

WHO WE ARE.
We are company Raven Euro from Bulgaria. Our factory is located in Burgas and we are making carbon fiber stocks for more than 10 years. We are well-known in Europe, as our main focus was making the stocks for Blaser R8 and R93 straight-pull rifles, as they are very popular in Europe. We have our own metalwork manufacture, our own R&D and design divisions and can handle OEM manufacture of any kind of stock designs for any action.
IMG_5555 2_res_1.jpg

OUR TECHNOLOGY
We use highly advanced aerospace grade technology, utilizing prepregs and high heat and pressure processes when producing our stocks, allowing for the most stable and repeatable result. These technologies and materials are top of the line and currently are the best available on the market. The difference between prepregs and "usual" carbon fiber is the following - in simple, carbon cloth is placed into the mold, then the worker applies the epoxy resin, then another layer of material, then epoxy again, then wait for the whole composition to cure.
In this case the following can happen - the epoxy resin simply doesn't fill the material and this causes air bubbles to appear inside and work as stress concentrators. In this case the structure might be prone to twist, flex or damage as the whole structure won't be rigid. Dry zones are also a problem of hand layup.
Prepreg is the common term for a fabric which has been pre-impregnated with a resin system. This resin system already includes the proper curing agent and because of that the prepreg is ready to lay into the mold without the addition of any more resin. In order for the laminate to cure, it is necessary to use a combination of pressure and heat. Prepregs have the edge over hand layup and their main advantages are part uniformity and repeatability, as well as maximum strength properties because of the optimal fill with epoxy resin.
This sounds great - but the disadvantages are the price, which is higher if compared with "traditional" manufacture - and the nessesary equipment for high heat, pressure - and sustaining this heat and pressure for the cure to be laminated. We worked with all possible technologies and decided to go with prepregs.

OUR MODELS
As mentioned, we are from Bulgaria, EU. In Europe Blaser rifles are the most known and liked by hunters because of their multi-caliber system and because it's a straight-pull rifle. Because of it we make the stocks for Blaser models R8 and R93.
Still, we recently developed a new model of stock for Tikka T3x rifle. This bolt-action from Finland is also a popular rifle in EU, the action is used as a hunting rifle and as a base for a custom long range rifle build as well - and we decided to make a new model of stock for Tikka T3x. It is a lightweight, no flex, no twist hardcore monocoque stock that is rigid and stiff for use with any barrels. And another main advantage is that barrel channel and the trigger guard surfaces are formed, not milled afterwards, making the structure of the stock extremely rigid.
We also have an idea of adjusting the MT30 stock design to work with Remington 700 footprint and are already working on it.

Importance of changing Lop/eyerelief?

Modern High magnified scopes are really picky with eyerelief and not forgiving at all.
Mostly shooters adapt and do the best they can in the situation but I belive as I see a need of it that the distance in the future will be easy to change.
Different clothing, ballistic armour, shooting stances all are moving you’r eye away from or put it to close to the scope.
100 years ago it didnt matter if distance from eye to iron sight was 12 or 14”.
30-40 years ago magnification was way less and this the eyerelief less sensitive.

So why do we in 2022 use gear that we have to compensate by forcing neck to get closer or further away for the wrong eyerelief?

The easyest solution is to change LOP so eye comes at correct distance to the optic.

I assume for a proffessional sniper it is way more problematic as a five hour standoff in a weird shootingposition probably get very tiresome?

I been shooting Sako TRG folder since 2010 and it was an eyeopener.
Really easy to change Lop, but sadly without memory so if trying to change it on the run it can easaly be to short or to long.

On Sics chassi this was my first and most important festure, to have a quick change LOP with memory so i have two positions that I preset and then alternate betwen.
And its done in a second.

I use different LOP due to different positions and prone gets usally around 1” longer Lop.
Different clothing changes Lop a lot to.

Pictures here is for my main huntingrifle that I made a similar solution some years ago.
This is not a product, its a prototype and it makes my life easyer.

So what is you’r opinions about the eyerelief issue?
Does it bother you?

Rifle Scopes March 1.5-15x42 inquiry

Search didn’t find any discussion newer that a year ago.
Has anyone here used this scope extensively and able to give a solid review? Looking at the FD-2 reticle.

Considering it for a lightweight hunting rifle project. While SFP isn’t my first choice, the rest of the features on this scope check all my boxes. I can slum SFP on this project.
