This one falls under the same umbrella as my Kahles K318i - finally built up a dream gun of mine and now have to let it go to pay for our AC unit that just crapped out.

The rifle is a dream and shoots itty bitty groups even with this dud behind the trigger. Less than 200 rounds on it and it has only ever had Lake City M118LR run through it for target plinking. Built by Nick over at Straightjacket Armory, it has the following specs:

- Impact 737 with round Impact bolt knob
- Straightjacket Armory barrel, 24" Kreiger Heavy Varmint contour, 1:10 twist and 5/8-24 threaded muzzle
- Triggertech Diamond 2-stage (also have a Triggertech Special Single Stage I can swap out if preferred)

Pushing AZT that turned out much more toxic and harmful then aids. Making wild claims, like aids could be transferred by just living in the same household, with no evidence or apology. All of his peers speaking out on how bad of a job he was doing, and the only thing it seems like he was effective at, was getting those people fired or discredited.

Questionable ethics on testing foster kids with clinical trials. Waste and incompetence. You know, the stuff really media should have been talking about.

I have a Remington 700 SPS Varmint 308 (26" bull barrel) that I put a Krg Bravo and ELF 700 trigger on. Love the gun but the action sucks. Firing pin won't stay back reliably if I work the action too hard. Love the barrel though. Regularly within 1/2 MOA. I found out to solve the action issue I need to have it blueprinted by a gunsmith for $250-300. I had an idea today: can I just replace my action with a custom action (Curtis Axiom maybe) and keep the barrel til I shoot it out, and then maybe switch over the barrel to 6.5 Creedmoor? I understand the custom action is 4x as much as the blueprinting, but thinking the value could be worth it. Am I thinking through this right? Can my varmint barrel just be put on a custom action? New to long range shooting. Thanks!

I bought a Vortex Viper 5-25X50 FFP EBR-7C MRAD from Sport Optics0n June 2, 2022. When I received it the illuminated reticle did no work. Battery was DOA. Replace it with the spare battery it came with. Illumination worked for a little over 3 weeks and illumination did not work once again. Replaced it with a brand new Lithium 2032 battery. Once again lasted a little over 3 weeks. Sent to back to Vortex they repaired it on June 15 and I got it back Jun 16th.Tech report said Replaced illumination chip and battery. Ran several more tests not related to illumination problem. It is now 25 days since the repair was made (just little over 3 weeks again ) and the battery is dead again. To say I'm unhappy would be a vast understatement. Last time I ever buy a Vortex scope. Tomorrow i'lll contact them again and tell them I want a new scope as thy seem to be unable to repair this one.
Am I being unreasonable?

EDIT: I should add his advice on harnesses needs a caveat. The fact they were only wearing lap belts may have saved their life. Unless the harness has special stitching to release energy on crash, most likely outcome is a broken neck. Harnesses need a helmet with neck restraint hooked on to work properly. Otherwise your head flies forward while your body stays locked. Bodies need to have that energy released more gradually if you don't have neck restraints.
