Bushnell DMR/XRS 3 or Mark 5HD?

Was looking at getting new glass in the coming months and wanted to get some recommendations between both mentioned above. Primary purpose is for new hunting rig but will do my occasional LR shooting also. I haven't seen through the XRS/DMR 3 but I really like the G4P reticle, and the large numbers on the turret. I know the Mark 5 is solid and has great glass. I was leaning more towards the DMR or the 3.6x18 Mark 5 to keep it light and compact. I have crossed out the Razor and the NX8 but I'm open to other options. Thanks

two questions..............22 target rifle

I'm most likely going to buy a .22 target rifle this weekend, a Bergara B14R.

1.......I don't see any advantage to buying a barreled action and mounting it in a KRG Bravo when the Bergara stock looks to be very similar. It's a mini chassis, an aluminum frame in the polymer. It also comes with a 30moa rail and looks to have the same adjustments. I can also buy local, with a small cash discount, as opposed to doing a transfer on the action and ordering the stock separate. I think the latter would be a bit more money. I've decided that 1000$ish is the limit. The VooDoo is way cool for lotsa more $$, and the Zermatt action for 1150$ is very tempting, but not necessary.

2....... I was pretty much set on a 4-16X50 FFP scope, but it seems most are going the 5-25X56 route. That is the exact scope I have on my PRS rifle, and it pretty much sits at 16X. The 4-16 has a bit more elevation available, and I figure 400 yds would probably be the max. I have 1000yds available, but I figured for leisure range time, learning the rifle and smaller targets at 200-400 would be good. I also( I think) have the option to shoot .22 PRS type matches , maybe that would make a difference? Am I missing something?????

Your new military.

Congratulations communist. Your plan is working. Maybe the 18D will start performing infanticide.

Everyone else...you have arrived at destination fucked.

Firearms GA Precision GAP-15

Selling a basically brand new GAP-15. It's a 6mm arc and I got it in March of this year. I shot 60 rounds through it and due to a medical issue I need to sell it. It comes with everything from GA and all the swag they put in. Nightforce ATACR 4x20 F1 MIL XT in a Badger condition 1 mount, which is also brand new and was purchased through GAP and mounted by them. I can take credit cards if need be. Otherwise a postal money order or Venmo will work.

If I was to seperate them I would take $2,600 for the rifle only and $2,800 for the Nightforce. Together I am asking $5,500.

  • nly available in 6mm ARC - A powerful, versatile, low-recoil cartridge for long range target shooting and most North American big game species -- but it sure shines for varmint hunting where multiple targets are often engaged and maintaining your target picture for follow up shots and corrections is critical!
  • Magpul PRS® GEN3 Precision-Adjustable Stock
  • GAP-15 Upper and Lower Receivers, Precision milled from 7075 billet by Seekins Precision
  • The Lower receiver features large bolt catch lever, ambidextrous release function and an oversized trigger guard -- perfect for gloved hands - because coyotes still call in when it's cold!
  • 22 inch, Bartlein Stainless Steel, 5r rifled, 1:7.5” twist rate perfect for the 103-108 grain range of Hornady match quality ammo.
  • Threaded 5/8 x 24 tpi
  • Knurled thread protector included
  • SLR Sentry 8 Adjustable Gas Block and Rifle +2 gas system.
  • JP Enterprises High Pressure bolt and carrier group
  • Trigger Tech Diamond AR15 with Pro Curved trigger, adjustable from 1.5 to 4.0 lbs.
  • Seekins DNA charging handle
  • 15 inch Seekins SP3R handguard (MLOK style accessory mounts)
  • 1 10rd magazine is included, additional 10 and 15 round magazines are available.

What can be done about this..

I was given 500 Hornady 308 168 hpbts. They are in the old cardboard boxes amd had been sitting for quite some time. A good number of them have some kind of crap on the noses, as in the photo. Some have actaul mold on them.
My question is can I do amything about that? Most of the heads are clean I have been shooting them and find I am getting wide and or high shots. Is that common with heads like this?
Thanks for any help

Is Color.... tacky?

Thoughts and opinions on painting or doing a cerakote on your rifles.

I was originally going to go a two tone black/FDE look but now I am thinking I want to do something a bit different. I don't want to go with super bright shiny neon colors, of course, but I have seen some VERY tasteful cerakote rifles online and wanted opinions to the matter. My idea now is a titanium blue for my lower/upper/handguard with black everywhere else.

What is the general consensus from the AR-15 group these days on coloring your rifles?
