Windmill Farms

I’m looking for any personal experience you have had with windmill farms.

In my AO they are wanting to put in a windmill farm. I‘m personally against it and there is a public meeting this week that I’m going to try to attend and I’m trying to gather as much info as I can.

I’m open to hearing both sides of this argument so give it to me!

Recommend me an 18" semi-automatic 5.56

Need advice on semi-auto 5.56 rifle. Probably it's going to be the only 5.56 I get due to restrictions on amount of rifles you are allowed to own in my country.

- needs to be 18" due to restrictions. It can of course be longer but I'd rather have it at 18 since I intend to suppress it..
- needs to have good enough precision for hunting. I want to be able to lay down a roe at 300 meters if I do my part.
- needs to be able to handle high volumes of fire when plinking
- needs to be reliable

I'd also rather it be a complete rifle. So no building..

Budget.. Well, prices are absurd in Sweden, so if I want even something decent I need to pay up.. Some examples:

Ruger MPR: 1500 USD
Daniel Defense MK12: 3300 USD
Daniel Defense M4 V7 PRO: 3200 USD
Aero Precision M4E1: 2000 USD
Diamondback DB15: 1400 USD
Stag Arms Model 3G Elite: 1900 USD
JP CTR-02: 3900 USD
Armalite M15 3 Gun Rifle: 2500 USD
DAR-15 SPR: 3400 USD
Schmeisser AR-15: 2700 USD
Grand Power GP R15: 1900 USD
Desert Tech MDR: 3500 USD
S&W M&P 15 Competition: 2900 USD
Sig Sauer MCX Spear-LT: 4500 USD

I'm leaning towards Daniel Defense. I'd rather not pay much more than that. But are there cheaper alternatives that have the same quality or shoot as well? Or more expensive alternatives that are worth it? Like way better accuracy or piston system that is worth thousands of dollars etc?

Biden is quietly selling off the border wall as scrap metal for pennies on the dollar.

Thats government property, paid for by taxpayers. How is that even legal? Oh, wait, it's not, not that that matters.

I wonder how much he and Obama are pocketing?

Why AI?

Why buy an AI?

Serious question. They look cool, and I kinda want one just to play with, but what purpose do they serve, they don't seem like a good fit for prs (I've shot probably 7 matches, so I'm no authority on this), but I've only ever seen one or two, and never in the hands of a pro shooter. The barrel profiles are too lightweight I think without adding a pile of weight. They seem too heavy, long and bulky for any hunting setup other than sitting in a fixed position. Seems like a great fit for military/LE sniper duties, but that's a small group. So, what am I missing? Are you fellas buying $6k+ rifles just to bang steel? Someone tell me what I'm missing. Thanks fellas.

When the "Worst "is still collectable

Being a collector of anything it isn't often that you try to aquire the worst of what you are collecting, but this might be the exception to the rule.

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to aquire what one firearms expert calls "The Worst Sniper Rifle ever made". Now being as I collect sniper rifles, and this is a legit military issued sniper rifle, and the fact that there are only a couple of these floating around the U.S. I decided I had to have it.

Well I am now the proud owner of said rifle (along with a nice pair of Spanish Army binoculars) and I must say it's crudeness is part of its charm.

So with out further ado I present the 2nd pattern Spanish M43 Sniper Rifle.

UN Small Arms Treaty

Hitlery Clitons backdoor United Nations Gun Control Treaty is a gun control measure to attack the 2nd Ammendment is resurfacing , it was never ratified by the US Senate but they are taking another stab unlike laws that fail to ratify treatys do not expire so it will sit there until they are in a position to push it through, if it ever gets ratified they can use the treaty to strip 2A rights across the board , and expand it at will Constitution be damned, its a global AWB , if we actually ever accept it we would not only be obligated to adhere to it , and the UN could be called upon to enforce it , China has actually been placed in charge of it on the UN side of it

This is going to be fun to watch

This much rain on dry ground?

Homeless camps everywhere?

Oh and this much water getting dumped into San Andreas fault area?

How about those Malibu beach homes and the ones perched on cliffs hanging by coat hangers an tinker toy and stuff?

It’s about time California got a beating like this. It’s like God said “I’m gonna leave those good people in Florida alone… I’m gonna send a message to the sodomites and the child buggerers. Hold my beer!”

Would be awesome if NY and DC got it this year, too.

Some days, you just have to wake up and go “I love climate change!”

This is why I burn all those tractor tires and drive 400”+ V8’s

Hope you all stocked up on popcorn, this should be good!

New M1A scout. What should I know?

Hey fellas,

For whatever reason I can’t remember, I’ve always lusted after a M1A scout rifle in a walnut stock. Well today was the day and I picked one up. I dont have it in hand yet but it should arrive next week. I don’t expect it to shoot like my AI or other true precision rifles obviously but what the hell, I may as well figure out what I can do to make it as good/accurate as possible. I’ve always wanted the scout with an over the receiver scope mount for optics and delete the barrel mounted pic rail. What is the best over receiver scope mount for these rifles these days. Back when I was nerding out over them it was Sadlak.

It may end up with a true rifle scope (maybe 5 to 25 ish) or a red dot based on performance and group size. Anyway, for you M1A gurus, what would you recommend I consider or look into given this new rifle?

Also care and feeding, cleaning, maintenance, reloading info advice much appreciated. Thanks y’all.

Remington 700 In Precision

Brothers,…
So I’m an old retired guy. I’ve been doing USPSA pistol matches since the 70’s. I’m not as fleet of foot as I once was; however, I had seen an example of a PRS type match shot in my area. I thought about giving it a go.
Here’s the question.
I’ve got a relatively newer Remington 700 in .308. Would that be a reasonable foundation weapon to take me from beginner to intermediate in this type of competition?
Thanks

Tremor 3 Wind Dots, are they worth learning, or more confusion?

So I'm building a longer range hunting rifle, making the "modern" move & plan on maybe NRL Hunter in the off season.

I'm Google/Book/Podcast smart enough to get myself in trouble, but don't have real world experience with Mils & Tree reticles
I'm looking at a Kahles K318i, of the reticle options, the wider tree of the TeMoR3 offers better wind holds than the SKMR3.

6.5PRC, 156gr Berger (0.347 G7) @ ~2900 fps makes it a 8mph gun. According to the Horus App the Tremor 3 wind dots are 5mph?

All of Todd's videos & formulas use G1 ballistics(who TF uses G1 in the last ~10 years?) & are 100% sales pitches and not actual instruction (which yes, is standard for industry sales, but pisses me off because I deal with similar on a daily basis)

I searched the previous threads here & answers seem a regurgitation of the YT videos, but no real break down as to why they are where they are.

Am I better off learning the standard Mph/Mil method?

Thanks

Firearms TBAC 338 Ultra SR (Gen 1)

I bought this right before they released Gen 2 :cautious:. That was the second time I got a TBAC silencer literally within weeks of a new model coming out (the first was a 30P-1 years ago and the Ultras came out). It's on a Form 3 and is new, never fired. Black not FDE.

I have SR brakes in 1/2x28 and 5/8x24 for this that will come with it.

$1700 shipped obo.
