I need some help. I am looking to put a thermal clip on on my rifle. I have no clue about anything thermal and trying to figure it out before I make a purchase and make the wrong decision.

What are my best options? Does it always require a mount in front of the scope? Will this LRI mount be a good choice?

Is there a knowledgeable mp5 guru on here that can help me? I know zilch about this weapon system except what I have been learning over the past few weeks watching various videos and reading other forums.

I recently picked up an AP5 and the first range session with it I had no issues. Everything seemed to work fine. I shot around 300 rounds. Even at home, larping around in my workshop pretending to be John McClaine doing numerous “HK slaps,” everything seemed to be fine. I go on my next trip to the range 2 weeks or so later, and at first everything seemed fine. At some point I ran the gun dry, attempted to fire, got a click, went to pull the cocking lever back and it made it about 1/2in and got SUPER tight. Like I had to brace it against my body to be able to cock it. This was consistent every time I ran the gun dry and even after the first time this occurred, simply racking the charging handle seemed more difficult than when I bought it.

Now I’ve read several other forums from other people who had a similar problem and it seems the consensus was that there could be an alignment issue. However, if there was an alignment issue, wouldn’t it have been a problem from the get go? Or did shooting it several hundred times exacerbate the issue?

I’m just looking for solutions to remedy it. I’ve field stripped it and checked various parts and the FCG. The charging handle seems to be difficult even when disassembled. Any thoughts what it could be? Can the cocking support break/crack and cause this?

Looking to sell my Spotter 60. Phenomenal spotting scope, I just haven't been using it that much recently. Only thing to note is if you yank too hard on the rubber eye cover, it pops off, you can pull it out and it stays on no problem, just when extending it, if you pull too hard it will come off.

I’m trying to remove the factory 0 MOA rail on my Tikka T3x CTR to replace with a 20 MOA rail, and apparently this is an impossible feat. I got 2 screws out and the rest of the goddamn things will not budge. I’ve used PB blaster, an extractor, and a heat gun to no avail. The heat gun is where the issue might be… True to form and in moronic fashion, I forgot to remove the bolt before heating… I pulled it out and noticed some of the finish came off. Oh, and I began to melt part of the plastic stock around the barrel.

So, I ask this of you all, how bad is it?? The melted plastic is cosmetic, but what about the bolt… Come take pity on this poor dumb idiot and offer words of encouragement, advice, mocking, insult, or some combination of the above.

Im striking out, hoping you guys might have a line on a discreet carrying case for a carbine in the 32" range. I live in an apartment, and would like to be able to take it to and from the range or camping without announcing to the world what I am carrying.

Ive seen the pelican and guitar style cases but both are huge by comparison. Appreciate any help gents.
